Would like to know how can one get through this college & give some insight about fees & placements!!

Thanks for reminding me the rules.IIITM offers the following programmes:
1.A 5 year integrated PG programme with a option to do M.Tech or MBA .
2.2 year MBA in IT management with specialisations apart from Finance,Marketing,Systems etc to verticals like E-Governance and Infrastructure Management.The institute is a centre of excellence for E-governance as declared by HRD ministry.
The fees is 40,000 per semester including hostel and mess.Placments are 100 percent with average gross salary between 3-4 lakhs.The Institute accepts both JMET and CAT scores.The placments are mostly in IT companies like TCS,Satyam,PWC,Wipro,HCL Technologies,ITC Infotech Etc .The Non IT companies which come to campus are IDBI,STPI,HCL Infinet,Honda motors etc..

Hi Komal
I am sorry but the admission process has already been completed.You can use both CAT and JMET scores for admission and you have to be a engineer or MCA to be eligible for applying here.

From how many years is the institute conducting MBA prog??Whats the batch size & do they provide lateral pleacments for ppl with work x!!

The Institute is providing MBA programme from 1997.Earlier it was called PGDITM but from 2000 after getting a deemed university status it was changed to MBA.The batche strength varies from 60-80 as institute has certain criteria of taking students.This year the batch strength has been 61.Only engineers and MCA's are eligible to apply.


There are no separate lateral placements ,you can always negotiate with the companies about your profile and salary.Definately peole with credible work experience can get better offers.Most of the IT companies give due weightage to work exp. specially IT consulting firms.
