I wonder why people are questioning about the recognition of BITS- MBA...........are they ignorant or simply acting dumb (no offense meant )....
anyways, for the uninitiated people............BITS mba is definitely recognized....
Also, after going thorough all the discussion so far.......I cant resist posting my views here.......
100% agreed that MBA program is not at par to the Engg. Program of BITS if we consider
ONLY the placements and the fact that MBA is a pg degree(hence should fetch a better package). But all the logical minds,get a know of the fact that the program has been revamped only recently.Only 2 batches have passed out as yet.......and it would be too early to profile the placements.And moreover,placement should not be the only criteria to judge a new course.The infrastructure, faculty, course content and the academic facilities are at par to any of the IITs. And even the first few batches of IIMs were not 100% campus placed. Its when the students of IIMs went to the industry and delivered results, then only companies started perceiving value in going to the IIM campuses and recruiting the students.That's how the IIM legacy has been created.
And majorly its the students proactive efforts that makes the entire placement process successful......
So at this stage, Ppl shd look for the kind of input that the programme is getting and the kind of processing(as in the course content and the faculty profile) that's being done.....this exercise cud let ppl know the quality of output............and moreover its just a matter of 1-2 years,......very soon BITS-Mba will be participating in the surveys and ppl will know the all India ranking.......and critics will get their answers.....
