For all those who haven/'t made it through ebiz bangalore, please dont lose hope. You may get better colleges than Welingkar or may perform better in colleges which arent at par with welingkar. it's about YOU!

My name is Bhavna and i am from Mumbai.I have decided to pursue this course at bangalore campus of Welingkar. I have heard very positive opinions and advices from all those who are aware about its existence.
Was inquisitive to find out how many girls are opting for hostel accomodation.. Lets try and figure things... are there any girls who have already paid up for the hostel ??

I got a call thru ATMA (98 percentile)..Am a graduate in commerce and had worked with a Commodities Firm for 21 months (Junior Finance Manager) and with a Securities Firm for 5 months (Equity Dealer). Welcome! I'm your future batch mate. I'll try to answer your queries as much as I know.

1) I don't know if they're just restricted to verticals. Since the placements are common, it's not necessary that an ebiz student would be placed in an IT company, since they also have access to all the Companies that come to the campus
2) Apparently, up until last year - the placements were a common ground for both campuses. Now since this is a new campus and everything, obviously they'd want co's to come there too right? So, in 2 years if Welingkar gets a good reputation - that may happen - if it doesn't , then the placements will continue to be a common function for both
3) laptops - you have the freedom to choose whether you want to buy your own or buy the one the college would provide. A good thing about this is that the laptop you would get would be cheaper as it would be a bulk order on part of Welingkars.
4)Yes, there are hostel facilities for girls
5) I'm not sure about this one
6) Hostel fees - once you're alloted a hostel room. only then. For now, just send an application to Welingkar, either written or via email.

Hi Meera,
me too ur wud be batchmate...

1)As far as the placements go..i contacted few of our wud be seniors @ bangalore..n they said lots of banks cum ther for finance guys(considerin ur profile...) so its not only restricted to verticals n IT firms..
2) the counselors at welingkar's mumbai told me dat we will get an option of choosin mumbai campus for placements..but i doubt, considerin the new bangalore campus is open frm dis year..unlike till last year.
3) abt the laptop..i confirmd its upto us..whtr to buy individually or go for bulk purchase..i thnk the later one is more vaible for all of us as we can negotiate for best price..
4)for travel expense after induction..as per the info they gave me..they r thinkin of doin a group reservation for entire batch..but we will have to pay for it.so dnt do it now..we will cum to knw abt it on 7th
5)abt the hostel fees, i asked them da same question but they said..for now we have to apply for the hostel...n abt fee payement will let us knw on 7th..

Guys i need to ask what are you people planning for the accomodation in banglore? Are you all going for the hostel or planning to take flat or something. If any one is planning for flat accomodation then do let me know about it. We may pool together.
