The course structure tho not mentioned ..after consultation wid the ppl out der ..say its almost similar to the pgdbm...with additional courses based on business design...dealin with business models n stuff..so a course well worth takin a risk....again the brand "Welingkar" is enuf in itself to attract companies for placement...n also be aware of the fact that the placements here are gonna be in confluence with the other pg courses out here along with the mms ...so it looks pretty good.

The course bein a novel one mite attract a bit of skepticism..but its for the ppl to decide....another thing ...management seats are present in almost all colleges ..infact its kinda declared that 10-15% are normally reserved for this sake..so its no great news....

And finally..we appreciate ur philanthropy in offerin ur seat to one who needs it...and I wish u all the best for ur future endeavours probably in the US and hope u dont give lame excuses to avert from dat too.....and also hope u dont regret the fact that uve wasted a chance out here!!!!!

Hey rock...absolutely no issues from my side bro...its jus dat wen some ppl leave up they try makin sure no one reaps da fruit of da course....I dunno how ppl can stoop to such low levels....from this it means jus 2 things

1. is dat he mite have done proper analysis of da course (which he says hes done..lookin at da forrum where hardly have anybody reached to a conclusion)
and has asked ppl from good positions(which i doubt he wud have)..and if he has done the above mentioned it shudnt be difficult for him to share it with us the so called experience.
2.probably since we r not aware of da list of students selected one can jus bluff away sayin dat he or she is selected(he/she may be in da waitin list..desperately tryin to get dat coveted seat)...cast aspersions at da course n make oders doubtful n hence leave it...to pave way for them to come in......its all mind games u see!!!!

Den try labellin ppl wid wierd adjectives ..n end of sarcastically sayin it is my own point of view..n no one shud be offended!!!!

hi guys today i got call frm welingkars sayin that due to rain college ws nearly closed for 3 days so the date for admission is postponed by 3 days now the last date is 11th. so the ppl who want to take up can still think... i am not taking up though.. anyways all the best to everyone ( to those who r taking and to those who r not taking)

i m not here 2 demotivate u or make u feel tat this course is worst...
i gave in my viewpoints, considering my stand.......

my view also contains a general approach towards this course....as its the first year
also they have not mentioned abt the course structure...wat they say is tat its gona b just like PGDBM....well dude there is a huge difference in BD & BM....go thru the past experiences.....have a clear thinking over the people u interact....and get feedback from people who have knowledge abt the industry....

m sure u must have heard ovr some jibronis from Welingkars who will try 2 lure students at their best...leme ask u 1 question...how many from welingkars u must have asked have answered ur questions in detail....

please note m not trying 2 get u out from gettin in this course......just Act MATURE and understand things with regards to the in and out of the course......probably u lag u research ability while doin a careful analysis.......

Its not just the name wic will fetch u a job, but think from the perspective tat wat profile wud u work like after having a Diploma in Business design.......

Pantaloons will absorb 30....u wud b lucky if u get in there...but speak 2 pantaloons wat is the profile they wud offer u ..wat can b the expected salary they wud offer after they take u....

u already have a specialised program in retail mgmt...More preference wud be for them than BD.....
think in longer terms my frd....where things are not clear from the school how can u take a chance........m not saying they wud take efforts in getting u placed n all...but dude......the COURSE structure until and Unless told in detail....u cant judge.....

They are not mentioning the semester wise curriculum......
well there are many things.....u can go out there and try...


like i said.....these are just my point of views...u dont need 2 get emotional and act IMMATURE.....

so go ahead and have a gr8 time for this course....

Hey dulcet bro...never in ur post was there a level of maturity which one wud expect from a x no. of years experienced bloke...and one had expected a more professional way of placin an opinion...with probably stating of facts ...which to everyones dissapointment dint happen....and hence came the stern reply.

I respect ur favortism towards "The Rock" by claimin some ppl to be jibronis to whom i have talked to n lemme give u a breakdown of dat list

Jibroni 1: Mr Hariharan Radhakrishnan....one of the panelists in the development of the Business Design course....one of the reason which made me go ahead with the course... asked him wats pantaloons take on this...jus dat they liked the course's approach made them put forward a deal which wud take the first 30 of the students..thats bout it...had panataloon needed more..dey wud have increased the seats in Retail management itself....so there goes...additionally...the course is jus not restricted to ur so called retail but also IT companies n manufacturin hubs r in da look out of such professionals...also ..as some one said the scope of this course is better abroad wer its more in the settled mode....why can t we garner hopes of dat too...no if u consider this dude as a JIBRONI..then god help u!!!!

Jibroni(s) 2: Manan Desai...Rohan Athyale...Vishal Kumar...currently pursuing their MBAs at Welingkar have spoken high of the course ..basically because they are aware of wat kind of preparations are bein done on by the faculty and people concerned with this course...probably even considering their inquisitiveness on askin how the placements are..they have come out with an affirmative reply....so there goes if these ppl are JIBRONIs...again god help u!!!

Ultimate Jibroni: Mr Uday Salunkhe...director of Welingkar Institute....who has initiated a variety of courses under his leadership...rangin from PGDBM..PGDeBiz...to retail management to WCM...everyone of this course has carved a niche for itself in their respective fields..n da prospects jus look brighter...and since his approach towards our so called BD is talked about....possibly this too can end up in the same league as others...See startin a new course is no piece of cake...similar in this case...Salunkhe might have taken into consideration a variety of aspects ..rangin from Market requirement...upgradation from the outdated courses...and others....n if hes a JIBRONI..den i dunno who can help u!!!

Listen dude think rationally....wenever a new course comes... it is obvious views n opinions will make rounds..in such a case blatantly sayin somethin without supportin it with facts might put doubts in ppl's minds ....i dunno whether it is intentional or unintentional..on ur part..but the way u said made one think otherwise...

PGDeBiz had faced such stiff opposition initially..but now if u take into consideration its position its doin pretty well compared to other courses.. da demand n placement is better....so der u have it

Me gettin discouraged(or rather intimidated) by ur post n havin quandry as to whether to pursue or not..is nothin but a figment of ur imagination..n wud take a lot of efforts from ur side to persuade me to go against it....

And hopefully by the end of two years u wud have 45 fresh jibronis..wudnt that be a sight!!!!
