As rama has said, most of the GDs have the social issues as the point to discuss, else for the Interview, pls go thru your profile - in case you are working person, then have an idea of HR , Industrial relations in your company, facility.... meanwhile have a nice time and lets expect the notification to come out !

i m interested in TISS..actually appeared 4 it last yr but somehow didnt make it ..wanted 2 ask if dere s any cut off 4 d gk section in the exam..how much weightage is given 2 d auto biography wen a call 4 interview is given 2 students..

There was no sectional cutoff as such mentioned in the brochure.
and there is also no specific mark given to the bio-sketch, but helps in the course of interview ( in case they find something intersting to probe about)

Can u pls tell me whether last year entrance exam paper had an essay section alongwith GK,Quant & eng!! I know earlier it was there but not sure abt last year paper. also ,if yes, what was the topicof essay..

hey anurag...
no essays.. on jan21.. there was a written test.. quant/logical/verba;/GK.
then we had GD followed by PI ( foor all shortlisted candidates) and then a final list of selected candidates was put up on the website...
GK is the most crucial section.. cos other sections are easy for all..

Did they(TISS exam administrator) let u take the exam paper home??
Its interesting that they dropped essay from their paper as that was their USP..

hey.....thanks for all the info posted on the thread....i would like to know about the negative marking scheme for the tiss entrance.do they state the exact mark for the negative marking.

@anurag,
the question paper was taken back after the exam.. its true that essay was their usp.. but they compensate for it in the interview.. most of us felt it.. including saqi and yours truly!
lol.

no mention of marking was mentioned on the paper. It was just mentioned that each section carries a different weightage.So only the paper setters know how much the sectional marks/ negative marks are.
