I reached there at around 8.45 AM. The introduction presentation was already near to end. Seniors form TISS (one lady chiefly) were replying to the aspirants' queries. We came to know that in last batch there are around 60% engineers. Then we were sent to the admin section , to confirm, if our application forms have reached TISS or not. Then we gathered in the main lobby, where GD groups were announced. In some groups there were fewer guys when compared to others. They were announcing roll numbers of around 10 people.

GD table was rectangular, and we were close enough for a good communication. Two vigilantes were there, two ladies at one side of the table. Before GD, We were provided with a piece of paper each, for jotting down points. We were given two topics, we chose one after voting. It was like "Is reservation in higher education only alternative for social equality?". They announced the topics and after that we gave ourselves half a minute to note points and think. They one person started. We had fair and calm GD and everybody participated. But it was stopped and interfered two times by the invigilators. No one was asked to conclude.

We waited in the same seminar hall for about one hour, when my turn came. There were several panels, my PI was in room#4.
Questions:
You are from .... Why do you want to do this course? What is your qualification? Why did you change your job? What is your present role in your organisation? In previous job? Why HR then? One question about organised and unorganised sector. How can you defile both? If you are asked to speak about industrial relations in front of many people, what will you speak. Give examples of some M&A activities in recent times. What are the benefits for women employees in your organisation? What do you feel about it? Your interests and hobbies? Some more chit-chat on that. Where do you live? If you get selected without hostel, will you accept? Most of the people were having good PIs. So we can't be sure about the final results based on our own PIs. Let us hope for the best.
It was a well organised event, and I felt good about it when I returned back to join my office, around 1.15 PM.

Hey Rahul, apart from you, how many candidates on that day had more than 2 yrs exp .. Also can u plz tell us how many candidates turned up for the GD/PI process??

Hey Guys, would the result of TISS too get delayed if the govt keeps postponing the judgement on OBC reservation?

Well i personally feel that it wudnt get delayed.. for the simple reason that all other Deemed Universities(like SIBM and some more) are already out with their results.. TISS being deemed shud continue with the trend..

I think TISS is not in the ambit of government decisions, and results will come out as planned.

I guess around 80% aspirants turned up. But sorry, I have no idea about the exact figures. Also, I have no idea about >2 yrs exp people. I met very few of them (>2 yrs) though.

Sorry for replying so late was just busy lately, My interview was on 17th
Gd topic tht our grp chose was Corporate social responsibilty-strategy Vs philanthropy, 25 minute time lt.got ard 5 min to speak on it! anyhow the discussion started nicely but towards the end we almost created a fish market!but still it went ok i think!.
Now the PI, the PI went awesome for me, the questions tht were asked frm me were mostly on my work ex and some other topics lemme write a few of them-
1. how much work ex?
2.The main prob faced by the hr dept of ur company
3. Why shd we recruit u?
4.tell us one incident tht u remember frm ur life so far!
5.So wht does it show abt the company?(frm the incident tht i narrated)
6. What role did blah blah coaching insti played in getting a call frm tiss?
and some other questions but no ques was asked abt tiss or why HR!no current affairs fr tht matter!

hello ppl do u have a clue would there be any waiting list along wid d merit list in tiss..as d reuslts of iims have still not cme..there would be quite a shift in d numbers game..like ppl from mdi would shift to iims n from imt ghazibad n all to mdi..so a waiting list for tiss makes sense this time..but i wonder tiss has never gven a waiting list in all these years whether it will do it this time..

sir afaik
there wud b no waiting list for tiss...cos hardly any student leav tiss for other colleges ...in case students leave then the student nxt in the merit list vill me intimated personally via mails/etc..but no waitlist funda for tiss....as it happenend last yr one student left tiss for fms ...
