@ Babu,

Can u pls tell us approx how many students are called for the next stage of evaluation. Is it the top 500 scorers or top 750?? Or do they call all the students scoring 43+, which in this paper is tough and it is unlikely that many will cross the boundary!!

Pls help!!

Regards,
Dipankar

Thats what i assumed and there is nothing we can do now but guess and / or speculate... I really wish someone would clear these things up so that there can be some peace.

Well it would be totally unfair to have 1 markers and 2 markers when u dont know which questions are for how many marks... It would only benefit a person who attempts all questions in the paper - if a person considers quant as an important section he would spend max time on quant and solve all questions in that area - even a person who goes to cross a certain cut off in each area mite not make it to the overall cut off then..

My take is that (43/70) is a percentage ie approx 61 percent. Now 61 percent of 120 would be around 72 or so - so that would PROBABLY be the cut off - but dont know - neway it can also be that the cut off is decided only on the performance of the students...

Well as the discussion goes obviously they cant have differential marking of questions without tellling the people at least logic says that...........hence 120 will be scaled down to 70 that makes 72 to 73 marks are necessary for getting shortlisted. Also i counted the exact number of candidates appearing at tiss thru its website which came to be 4747.hence it seems less competition out here at least to get shortlisted so anybody attempting 100 around questions with 80 percent accuracy wld get thru.

also abt the wrong question in set 1c in our room it was explicitly announced that people having this set should ignore this question as this will not be taken into assessment hence relax guys i dont know why it had been told it in ur exam centres.........

so hope for the best and wait for 1st feb
