The only thing i can say that there was a negative marking scheme for tiss but what was the weightage that wasn't written, same was the case for the right ans no weightage given for that either

Their were 120 questions and as per the brochure it says it was for 70 marks.
So I feel 100 Questions would be worth half a mark marks while 20 Questions would be 1 Mark. Now Thats where the catch is.

Most of them would have gone for easy questions in order to score more.
In the process they must have left out the 1 markers.

Now say you attempt 90 questions with 90 % accuracy out of which 77 half markers and 13 1 Markers.

Then taking an accuracy of 90 % 70 questions would be right then your score would be 35 without the negatives and out of 13 1 markers say you would get 10 right.
Then your score without negatives would be about 45.
So the cut offs of 43 although looks easy is not. I personally feel most of that english antonyms and synonyms and some of the business GK related questions would be 1 markers.

I am not sure about the same but if that is the system then gettin 43 was not at all easy. I perosnally atempted 90 questions so the example was based on my attempts.

Perhaps babu can give more insights on the same.

nice analysis and this is somethin new tht u have told me( abt the 70 marks for 120 questions) but still nothin was said abt the negative weightage and which questions were one markers and which weren't so i guess we have to wait for the results to come out and shdn't speculate on anythin as of now ! if any tiss people are there in this forum plz join in our discussion and clarify some things for us if they can!

there are negative marks costing 1/3 for every wrong answer ..though it is not mentioned in the Q paper .it is mentioned in the admit card paper..i personally enquired frm one of the tiss representatives at my center,

boss no 1 mark ,1/2 mark as in iift n previous cat papers...ur score vill b evaluated for 120 marks n then converted to 70 ...
