In TISS, does it come for the same profile or for its HR profile?? My same question for the banks and finance company that go there....
I am asking these questions coz the average salary in placement is huge... And if they are for HR profile, then wow! nothing like it..
So please calrify this...
Companies come to TISS only for their HR requirements. People move to other functions later. But primarily ONLY HR. And yeah, the figures are phenomenal, aren't they?

Or is it that like the IIMs have specified the minimum percentile n percentages, 43 is the minimum marks one HAS to attain to get a GD/PI call from TISS?
Please calrify
I believe that once you are above 43 you are in contention. After than, they would probably have to do some shortlisting to get manageable figure. So, if you have done wonderfully well in the tests, you got nothing to worry about.

hey TISS pgites,

have been browsing PG for 6 months now, but have become a member just recently. actively browsing this thread started by babu, a good initiative.

Am a BMS grad from Mumbai, working for the last 14 months in a Recruitment consultancy. 94% iler in CAT`06, no calls obviously. no calls from nm/symbi either...now just banking on TISS.

TISS entrance was pretty cool..attempted about 95 questions with good accuracy, that's what i thought..let's see what they have to say on 01/02.
Hopeful of getting shortlisted.

hey guys.. at TISS centre y'day got a GD/PI pamphlet of RAJESH KAMAT`S private classes...he is an ex-tissian..did the others receive it? I wanted information about these classes, as I would like to join. Does anyone here know about him or have met him?

Babu...Were u groomed for gd/pi....do u know Rajesh kamat. do you have any batchmates in your class who were groomed by him.....plse let me know asap, as I do not want to floor TISS and am keen to join kamat's classes for which i shall be obliged if you or any of the PG ites could share information.

also babu..would 14 months exp have some consideration that is weightage i mean if i reach the gd/pi stage....plse revert.

Bye bye guys for now.

MBAFUNDA.

lemme tell u somethin abt the paper it had 46 questions under social concern section basically the gk part in simple words, and had rest of the questions frm quant and logical reasoning . total no of questions were 120. i remember that i had finished the quant and lr sections within 1 hr or so and rest, since they were gk related questions and considering i hadn't at all prepared for it, attempted ard 10-15 frm there but i think half of them are right. My attempts 88 out of 120 with ard 99% accuracy in maths and lr sec i think and ard 60% accuracy for the gk section. one more thing i just saw someone writing tht the cut off wud be ard 43, i personally don't think so coz if an idiot like me was able to able to attempt most of the quant and lr questions then i think everyone else can also!thats my take on it. in the end i can only say that it all depends on gk basically as to who will go thru and who will not coz rest of the questions were quite easy except a few of the english questions at the end where we had a couple of synonyms antonyms and related pair questions!

true, i was just going to post something on the same lines. I couldnt agree with you more about the cut off. I have attempted around 85 questions with an 80-85% accuracy overall but i still have no clue how to figure out if thats good enough. Thats one grey area that requires clarification.

Also, there was no mention of negative marking, anywhere on the question paper or elsewhere but i still went ahead and assumed there would be one and refrained from random guessing. I hope that wouldnt work to my disadvantage!

Hi Frds....

Question paper was preety decent... fairly easy then expected.... i like the GK portion... there was a major confusion on negative marking...as this is the first entrance exam i ever gave for MBA that to without prepration....so i m really confused as far as negative marking is concerned....

Guys whn can we expect results for the same....

Same here i assumed that it was a one marker and carried on with my paper! i guess 43+ wud be a cutoff if each right answer carries ard 1/2 a mark or so i guess but lets wait for the results to come out ,lets keep our fingers crossed up till then and lets hope both of us go thru!
