i dont think there is any dress code for classes.. it might be only for some special ocassion..

btw, ppl the bangalore meet is still happening tomm.. coffee day at mg road, 4 pm. do join in

Was asked a query about loans on BM thread. Posting the reply here also

I think u have to be physically present at the branch for loan formalities. The advantages of taking loan from XL branch are-

The interest rates are low becoz loan is offered under scholar scheme....it can be issued under this scheme by the branch where institute is located

The payback period under scholar scheme is flexible (u can opt for any period between 5-7 years)

Ease of operation

For repayment, it can be transferred to any SBI branch in India

You don't need ur father's signature as guarantor of loan

etc etc etc.

Best way is to arrange for first installment if possible and when u join, take loan from XL branch and get the first installment reimbursed.

So, is taking a loan from Jamshedpur really more beneficial...but why should the bank have a different critirea elswhere...as in this might be there in case of regional institutes....but XLRI is no doubt, a national inst....so whether its SBI Jamshedpur or Delhi...if i have a call letter in my hand, why should it matter?

Have ppl recieved their letters?...Anyone from Delhi/NCR?....What is the fees like?...what is this talk about dress code...how can any institute have a dress code for attending classes?

just coming back from the bangalore xl meet. finally we got together and are happy that we from bangalore were the first ones to do so.

is it true that SBI's 9 % is the lowest....is it applicable throughout the country?...or only in Jamshedpur....Not sure of interest rate of Allahabad bank...someone said its 8 %....But in case of Allahabad bank, one can apply online...
