sonia | hey ,
dont worry so much about PUMBA , yull definiteli get thru there i have told to vary marks by 2 or 3 , and for PUMBA yu can do it but i have already predicted low cut offs for PUMBA so i cant go below that , yu can fancy yurself in PUMBA definiteli with a brilliant gd pi in the next rounds , so yes yu are safeli in PUMBA , so keep working hard thats it ,

Mum : 172-175 out of 240
Maharashtra : 168-172 out of 240
This can be taken as a benchmark for other colleges. | let yr prdictions go wrong.i'm wishing that.i've got only 116+4(par)
if i score around 26-27 in gd/pi.my total comes to 146-147.
i read somewhare in this PG thread( some bengaltiger or coolrahine who is in sydnehm) that last yr cut-off for jbims- 164
sydenham -162
kjsom- 157
wellingkar- 154
pumba- 133
these were for oms and by reducing 6-7 from these mks we get for home univ( my mumbai).can really someone from last year means 2006 as first yr for ther mms from jbs, sydnehm,kj, welingkar,(i request to all of them) to pls come and do a free consulting for all of us floating in bottom layers.
actually by seeing ur actual data of ur current batchmates(by this time i think u all wud hav got it)we ll get some kind of hope to still fight in for our gd/pi get taht extra 2-3 crucial marks.
i hope i,m making my point. i forgot to wish all u frends u at least got 135 and wish u all to go thru next stage comfrtably and positively and make to at least in top 3.`pls post yr opinions soon

Its at speculation levels rite now. But to an extent, anything is possible in OMS category. Guys coming with all kinds of scores from all kinds of exams, and 18 seats to be filled, makes it too hot to handle.
But cutoffs posted for maharastra candidates is outrageously exaggerated. Consider this: - OMS guys scoring in range of 99.6-99.88%ile in CET (not MAT/ATMA) i.e a score of 140-147 , wld be finding it tough to meet the OMS cutoff. But this will bring down the cut off for maharastra.
- Number of OMS candidates scoring 99.5+ %ile is far more than maharastra guys.
- All the ppl scoring mindblowing scores in CET(read 99.5%ile) leave JB for IIMs.

see this thing will happen and its no point consoling ourselves that the cut offs will be less it cant happen and will never happen the cut offs predicted by me will be true and am damn sure about , already had chat with so many jb , sydenham guys and all agree on this cut off as well as some profs , i cant help thinking anything less than this ,
sirst reason is that marks are on a very high side this time ,
now so many guys in the OMS category have applied with MAT, CAT , XAT . ATM , JMET , scores , know many with 99.99 and 99.98 who are applying , i know 3 outside this forum who will give 99.99 in MAT , there are so many others who are in the pipeline and also MAY MAT is coming so lots of percentile above 99.95 , now see a 99.95 that is on the lower side concverts to 151 written add another 34 it gives 185 , and thats very high but im keeping at the loer cut off levels and so the cut offs will stay at 185 for jbims , considering sydenham always is 2 marks less than jb im keeping it at 183 , but in kj and wellingkar as the seats are alaos more and the cut offs a;lso go down because of the waitlists( as people not getting jb or sydenham levae cet) , now i cant be wrong in these assumpetions as i have gone thru it ,
and one thing more from next year jbims cut offs will be nothing less than 99.97 and sydenham will be 99.95 , take it from me ,
well the mumbai guys can reduce the cut offs by 2 marks but for OMS guys it can onli increase , i cant see it falling so no false consoling will help rather it wud be better to concentrate on next rounds ,

with due respect,
i have 141 in cet and 99.61 percentile,
last year there were more than five people
in jb with less than that percentile,
in mumbai category.
but with 154 as highest how can cut off be at 151 for written,
it doesnt make any sense.

| 1.) Agree.. Thats Y its imp. for me to now concentrate on MAY-MAT rather than being addicted to PG..
2.) Not sure abt that one nakul... I have seen ony two OMS guys b/w 99.92 n 99.99.. that's me n ThisTimeIWillCrackIt.
I wonder if that gives us an idea abt the precedence.. I will put it at 50-50 though...
3.) Not really to point - 3. I will say candidates in OMS apply tto CET only when they r not sure of other higher converts.. PPL who have only 1/2 IIM calls apply.. Last yr.. only one person out of final 19 opted not to take an admit.. Rest 18 did take an admit..
I hope I was clear in pointing this out.. Again.. It's my own personal opinion.. ~Cheers
