Regarding XL(GMP) vs IIT B, its a tough call. But then XL is 1 yr n less riguorous. So unless u thinking of a domain shift, go with XL. For IIT B, its a top place n recently heard about their enterpreinual initiative. That is awesome | Hi Nakul...
Late in replying to ur post I know ...was busy with few things.
Between 1 yr n 2 yr, u r rite it makes more sense for me to go to IITB, since I am looking to mould my profile with Sales / Mktg exp (non IT) to the IT sector. It is here that a 2 year with its projects etc. would help better than a 1 yr prog.
Do reply with your thots here..
And buddy, u have a very good chance...dont worry at all!!
By the way any idea, what wud say your RANK (& mine too) in our category of OPEN OTHER MAHAR. UNIVS (this wud indicate our POSITION against our competition?)
Cheers

Gaurav | Hey gaurav,
so u still undecided about the college?? whats the waitlist status??
If u r sure about the sales/mkting profile in IT sector, IIT B would be the place. JB is the place for finance. At JB, the faculty n facilities for other branches are not that good (vis a vis IIT B or XL) and it has a university feel to it. BUt its a dream place for fin (and hence my interest )
But GMP@ XL would be altogether different as its just 1 year. ALso, now that u got the workex may be its futile for u to undergo the rigour of 2 year MBA. Now that u made it to 1 yr programme, that means u r fit for it.
You are alomost in JB already. For that matter, u are thru to IIT B n XL also. Now its totally ur call. Maybe u visit the mumbai colleges atleast as XL wld be far off.
Regarding ur rank, u are in top 9 anyday. If the cutoff is 175, even then u r safely thru. So dont think abt admits, u have them already. Take a call on other factors n then decide..whatsay? What's obvious is obviously wrong | | | | | | | |

I agree. If the reason(s) is/are good enough and the panelists find it convincing.
But, y do u want to change it at the 1st place? Mumbai-Pune is just a 3 hrs journey!
