Just acknowledging the goof up isnt sufficient..they must stick to the deadlines the gave out on the net..

But even if thats the case, the problem is of the institute,isnt it?They should have been more careful about it. I believe many students took admission after seeing the refund rules, like me. Had they post the correct 1, i would not have taken admission anyways.

Whatever may be the reason, they misguided us,knowingly or unknowingly. And if they are not willing to change, it must be exposed

guys this is autrocious in plain simple words-if thy know thy have made a mistake-thy have to bear the consequences of it-why should the students suffer for no fault?

all u guys r future managers and i hope u pple r aware of ur rights-jjust dont give in to such opprestion.

im not an nm student or aspirant-just a fellaw pg'ite/and i think its high time these mba institutes stop fooling around with we aspirants and realise its an gae of equality,fairness and transperancy.go to the director,if nt talk to pg,if req go to media-do whtevr-bt show thm student power.

how did thy think-we mae mistake-fine forget it and students no refund as per the earlier info etc etc?????r thy god?or are thy too complacent?i think thy under estimate us and thy think tht since thy r doing us a favour by giving a seat-thy can behave in any manner thy wish to.

Guys,this is a serious lapse on NM's part and we r gonna end up losing a lot more money!!

hey even i have deposited the money wid all the intention of withdrawing it!!!!!
NM should abide by what is mentioned on the web site and the instruction sheet as they are latest and not what is in the brochure .. more over they did not make things clear at the time of so called counselling...
i have not paid the hostelk and the laptop fees ,, so slightly better off

surely, action needs to be taken but theres catch.

since it was published on the net, it may contain the disclaimer 'This is electronically generated info etc etc'..the authorities can easily use this as a defence

if its on their website or in the call letter , then we can sue them

go and check the instruction now on the nmims website. It says the 8 days wala funda.

8 days 85%
9dyas-20 days 65%
20days-30days 50%

thank got i had saved the previous one on my PC and had also taken a printout of it.

It has nowhere written that it is an electronically generated mail. this means that nowhere on the instruction is it written that the given information isnt legally valid.

Now next step. Here i need help. M sure u must be having father or their friends who are lawyers(if based in bombay,it is the best thing). Try talking to them and explaining the whole situation. Ask how to hold the institute responsible.

I also need people who have contacts in the media.Maybe needed to expose this thing on front page to spoil the reputation of the institute who takes fraud means to dupe the students.

And we need to meet at the institute. M ready for sat 10am.if they r not willing to change the rules, i m going to withdraw my admission that same day.I cant study in an institute which cheats its students. god knows what they will do after we join them. Its shows their mentality and m not willing to take chances.

and do try to find a lawyer and a mediaman.

but sadly, i do not have ne contacts in the media or any lawyer

but i will surely come for others benifit.

P.S. I did not apply to NM but strongly feel that such greedy activities by reputed institutes should be exposed

Now that it has been brought to our notice, we must not go to the registrar but the Head, this Mr.Kundap or whoever he is .. On the day of addmission he was talking so much about honestly and social responsibilty. Lets c what is his take on this.

i totally agree with u. NM is backtracking on its commitments now in order not to lose out on some cash. They mustve realsied now that all the results will be out in apr and if they stick to the 13apr refund date , many ppl get out with min losses and they make zilch!!
and secondly it cannot b a mistake by the it ppl in nm as the registrar claimed to us cuz in that case the dates wd not be so explicit. i mean 13th apr and then 20th apr and so on. obviously they have been told to put up these dates.

Now for the redressal part:

they have changed the instructions on the net, but we still have the earlier copies, but i am not sure it holds any legal sancitity since it has no official seal or anything. they cud easily wriggle out of the situation. The best course of action wud be to write an official mail /letter to the NM management and then follow that up.. not that i am too hopeful of getting a decision in our favour. U c, they have made it clear now that anyone who doesnt want to adhere by these rules can refund their money immediately. in fact the registrar even promised us a full refund on the 20th in case we wanted one.

Guys in mumbai, in case u can take up this matter and at least try to put our point across to the management like MR Patel etc.. We tried to talk to Mr. Kondap on the 20th but he simply chickened out and refused to meet us. so our best shot lies in lots of ppl writing to them and ppl from mumbai making a few trips to nm.

As for ppl who have paid only Rs 50,000, ur 8 days countdown starts from the date of FULL payment of fees. means when u pay the entire amount. so u guys have some breathing space. Now this is what i was told by them verbally. didnt want to press them for a written declaration since they wud have changed that as well!!
