this post is for all the girls who have decided to finally take up simc.
i just wanted to know wat r ur plans abt accomodation for the first 5 mnths. i spoke to a real estate guy ajay yadav (9890330003) who was very helpful wid details and all. well my plan wud be to take a flat wid 2 batchmates and also my mom wud stay wid me for the initial 3 mnths. now if we were to take up a 2 BHK flat around simc then it wud cost 8000 onwards. if a PG is ur choice then u can find out the details.

ps: plz start lookin for a place by first week of may or it wud a bit late for a good apartment.

Hmmm... hi all...

Bumped the thread for a seemingly funny reason.

Until yesterday, I was thinknig that I got rejected @ SIMC becoz I'd told them that I had already converted SIBM. But today, I got a letter from them stating that I'd converted it in PR there as well!!

Well, Well...

But I stand by my statement. i will not be taking it up. SIBM's good enough for me.

simc somewhere mentions that it'll shift to a newer campus from the
Second sem where hostel facility would be provided to all. At the
same time, it also says that living at hostel would be
mandatory 'from the 3rd sem'! NOW what does that mean?

if we manage to live in flats nearby during the first sem it'd b ok.
But if the instt shifts to a new campus after 6 months and we are
not given hostels there, it means we'd again have to relocate (which
is not at all easy in a place like Lavale) or we'd have to convey
from City to Lavale. THINK OF THE COSTS!!! Also, the hostel/mess fee
starts from the third sem and NOT from the 2nd sem.

they say that 'fee shall b adjusted thereafter'! DOES THAT MEAN A
FURTHER RAISE IN THE FEE FROM THE EXISTING 3,35,000/- ?

I m confused. Please suggest...and yes, I personally request you to
please forward the mail which SIMC claims to have forwarded to every
student 2-3 days back cuz I haven't got it yet.

I am in my final year, doing my grads in sociology from calcutta.
I just need some guidelines for the preparations.
How important is wrk exp, cuz i have none .

And how are institutes like amity and other pvt ones in case i dont get through the best ones.

i really want to be prepared for the worst as well.
