well for the starters or freshers in particular....plz never go by CTCs..... A TATA MOTORS(Jamshedpur)
CTC includes many things like.....medical benefits(intangibles)........HRA(if company gives accomadation....no HRA......).........highest performance awards(whcih only 2 out of 50-60 ppl in a grp gets)........and many bla bla..............always refer to
Gross pay...subtract Annual Income Tax...ur savings and u get ur inhand pay package......perks included in
CTCs varies from company to company.........but the
similarity is that it never gives true picture.........
and yes though TATA MOTORS CTC is 4.5-5 lakh for starting......gross pay comes down to 2.5-3 lakh per annum.......and yes TATA MOTORS is regarded as one of the most ethical compnies and best paid company.in manufacturing..........ull can well gauge the situation in other orgs too..........
that was one of the reasons for starting this thread........i hope its clearing many clouds..and as refreerd by others it may not cum in the preview of moral policing.........
I request seniors from various Bschools to turn up and clear doubts regardng the CTCs and gross pays various orgs offer.........and plz i never meant that Associate posts in investment bank is not offered in Non-IIMs......but these r only few..........
anyway as for information do please also mention the post/positions offered to operations mngers /system mangers......(for general knowledge....many candidates dont know wat they r going to do after MBA)
i hope this thread acts more as a
true factual display of job profiles rather than comparisons..........we r well mature to monitor our own posts than to bring in moderators into the picture(with all due respects to them)
