Let's start with the DD issue...........Having sent the DD to the Head IME, how will we come to know that they have recieved the DD or not. Will they be confirming the reciept.

hi guys,
i hav a query
last yr there were only 33 students in the batch and the WL was cleared till some 35 odd places in the first WL only
i mean there was no second list there.
whoever turned up there from the first WL list was given admission.
and thats it.
is it gonna be the case this yr too .
anybody got the info regarding this ???

well me WL at 25 in kanpur
and ya one of my frnd who is WL at 2 in kanpur got into iit d today so he is out of the race in case there is a second WL .

With a waiting list of 25 you are already in.
This year more than 60 people have been waitlisted and the waitlist should move to the last if seats are vacant.
I mean if you are waitlisted and seats are vacant there is no way that you are not granted the admission.
Last time many students paid the fees and then refused to take admission because of some other confirmed call afterwards.
that is why the batch strength was low.
But with IITK being the first one to come out with results and other IITs also coming up before 1st APRIL , i believe the waitlist will move till 50 odd.

I am going to despatch the DD on 25 th (I cant take take risk of postal delay). Its not the i am not interested in IITK but I am in dillema about these three colls. so waiting for those results too. If the results are negative then there is only one choice.
