I too got thru....congrats to others who got thru....

surely the language used in one of the previous posts was wrong...i recently did my B Tech from IIT Knp itself...and surely MBA from here is the next big thing...I got selected from SIBM...higher in the ranking...but did not fill its fees....not worth it....and i am surely going to join this year IIT Knp...i did not bother to fill NM this year....not worth it...best of luck to those who are going to study over there...surely missing out one of the great institutions...IITs are a place to be in...even some surveys say that they would leave IIM behind in a few years....some of the top CEOs say that...

Dear All,

I support what subham has said. To add to it, IIT kanpur MBA programme has got a great industry acceptance in a gap of 5 years. We are having requests from the industry to increase our seats from 50 to may be 100 . Secondly not only IITK , all the IIT s will be at the top in coming years. IITs have all the resourses that a excellent institute requires.
Now some institutes are running more on Locational advantage and give money to some B-Magazines for ranking purposes.IITK doesn't beleieve in all these so they do not participate in Bschool rankings.

Great News: We are having a prof from MIT Sloan who is one of the renowned figure in the field of TQM next semester to teach us. He has selected IIT kanpur amongst all the top institutes (B schools) in India.

I would say that you have a high possibility of clearing the waitlist.However, this would depend upon the number of people joining in the main list. So, i cannot surely say that you would make it, but it is generally believed that till W/L 10, the chances of clearing are very high.

Thats a good way to console yourself man.

But you failed. Anyway never challenge IIT. They have just started their journey and perfroming so well. Think about two years down the line. good luck...

rank 765, two and a half year of work ex, GD i was satisfied, PI OK, Graduated from NIT with distinction.
Others can also post their profile. so there will be more clarity on the criteria of getting call.

Dude,judging from this post it doesnt take much to figure out why you were 'Rejected' by IIT-K and also it doesnt do too much to add to the credibility of the nm selection procedure.So long
