Which Other B Schools?? - 01-03-2006, 02:38 PM

HI
I have secured a mediocre 82 percentile in cat wothout any calls and 86 percentile in XAT again without any calls i have a 1881 rank in nmims and with a decent gd and pi i dont see a chane of getting in..
could ppl help me with telling me about any other institutes that are there where i can apply and actually do justice to enhancing my career and my knowledge here is my profile

fresher with about 83 % avg in 10 and 12 around 77 in two years graduation
part time work ex of about 14 months
2 projects and more importantly i already have a campus placement offer of 2.4 lakhs ctc from goldman sachs
i want to know two things admission through management quota in various top colleges
and whether an mba from colleges like amity rai or welingkar actually help me as their placements start at about 3.5 lakhs whereas i already have an offer of 2.4 and in two years i am sure i can enhance it much better and the experience also matters..
pls guide me seniors and alumini

I'd sugges, stick to the placement offer. Its a great brand to be associated with, not to forget, the experience which you'll gain there. Since you've not managed to crack any tests this year, why not try again, with work exp. All the best.

I think your concern in not properly addressed here. Why don't you try to visit this thread and raise your concern again? Your problem must be addressed at different levels so feel free to ask more till you get specific answers...
