High Court bar on ICFAI Varsity
Special Correspondent No admissions till further orders CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has restrained the ICFAI University, Hyderabad, and the ICFAI National College here from making fresh admissions and collecting fees from students. An interim order was passed by the First Bench of Chief Justice A.P. Shah and Justice Prabha Sridevan on Wednesday. Adjourning further hearing on the public interest litigation petition filed by Dr. MGR Medical University Senate Member K. Rajendran, to March 13, the Bench said it was the last chance for the respondent-university and the college to file their replies. "The petition seeks action against the private university and the college for running study centres in Tamil Nadu without "any valid approval and recognition." Private universities were abolished by the Supreme Court in 2005. He said the ICFAI University, the 73rd respondent in the case heard by the Supreme Court, was "fully aware of the fact that it had ceased to exist" pursuant to the order. But, it has "chosen to issue advertisements calling for enrolment to various courses such as MBA and MCA in both distance education and regular stream."

hi guys. i got ibs mumbai on 6 th feb. yesterday i went to mumbai.
the college is in nirlon complex in goregaon. nirlon complex is hub of many industries. the college is inside the complex with two building. each having two floors( ground and first)
infrastructure is okay. library is good and computer lab is decent. the place is calm and silent.there is macdonald and three screen multiplex beside nirlon complex.
about the placement. i talked two student of 2nd year, both were placed in hdfc bank. they said placement is good.
min-2.5 lk CTC
avg-3.5-4 lk CTC
max-8 lk CTC
right now first year student are on SIP( intership).
they both were placed for 3.5lk CTC with in hand 22500.
about the accomodation, there are number of private hostel and residential place.
on college notice board they have mention about the placement of student. in all 243 student were placed. majority were placed in finance and mktg. even TCS and 3I infotech selected student of finance. right now two more company were visiting( jet airways and other one i dont remember. jet airways were coming for mngmt trainee position for finance and mktg both. with package of 2.7lk pa)

so in all i got +ve response from all side. so planning to join ibs mumbai after result of symbi( SCIT).

Thanx a lot man for that info,& since u did visit the college u must hv also found a bit about the accommodation as in how far are they from the college & wats the rate like.
