All the ICFAI Business School aspirants,
Discussing over the matter of ICFAI is an ever ending discussion, which comes to play every year.
Anyways, after looking to the questions raised by the aspirants, wanted to stop by and clarify a little bit on the current issue of IBS.
It all started with madras high court verdict of closing all ICFAI universities institutes in Tamil Nadu including IBS-Chennai,the fact of it was that UGC doesn't approve the institutes running under any university which is situated at the offshore(that is other than its inducted state),likewise in the case of ICFAI University,Dehradun which is located in Dehradun but giving degrees to IBS across the country was being verdicted as non-affilated UGC degree.
Yes,the IBS degree is not recognised by AICTE.
Yes,Hyderabad and dehradun campus were out of this issue.(as hyd is itself a deemed univ, and dehradun being located in the inducted state)
Yes, many students who joined the various centres across INDIA left the institute, their fees was refunded(whole fees).I am talking abt the 09 batch only, and the senior batch is out of this matter.
Almost 200 students left the Gurgaon campus(I am very sure about this, the batch strength of 617 is reduced to around 390),the situation is same in the other campus like Mumbai, chennai,Bangalore etc.
This are the very true figures and facts.
Now coming to the other side of it,what is false looking to the above post made:
1> None of the campus has been closed, someone posted that Gurgaon campus is closed, well, today i attended the class till 4 pm,don't knw if the gates were shut down after that. This has crossed height of spreading airy noise.
2> Its not that Instute authority said that they are just running a coaching institute, and blah blah....its all inference made by the folks.
(Its coming out of no where)
3> Its not approved By UGC.
Clarifications:
1> This link has the answer of each and every doubt:
Deemed universities can still grant affiliation - India - NEWS - The Times of India
Kapil Sibal has clearly stated that Universities will be allowed to affilate their offshore campus, and the final list of all the university and colleges will be announced within 2 months.
2> Folks,i have been studying here, and everythng is perfect in this institute, faculty, batchmates, there are lods of work ex people, virtually all faculty have enough industry experience(passouts from IIT,IIM,all are phd holders),and there has been no flaws as such.
Coming to the palcements, last year batch of 580 was left with only 40 unplaced students(even other biggies have nt been able to give 100% placement). Companies like D E Shaw,UBS recruited the class of '10 ,and the list goes on.(Source- Placement representatives)
Only point where institute lack is good industry exposure.
Placement did last long, even its still going on for the last year batch.
And the palcement for the coming batch has also started.
Campus like Gurgaon,Mumbai and hyderabad are being placed in the top 50 B-Schools of INDIA(well now don't crib over the source and all crap)
So its all You and Your capabilities, and nothing blah blah matters,is what i know.
I have said all the facts to the best of my knowledge only.
I was only refeering to gurgaon, mumbai, bangalore and hyderabad campus. An advice to all the aspirants, consider only the 4 top branch of IBS(as stated by me)....and i can bet u,u will be elated and appreciate ur efforts when u join it....
* if people are telling so many facts, folks let me also apprise u of the fact that more than half the batch of IIM's(lucknow) are also sitting with no jobs in their hand(this hard times u know),I personally knw 1 person. Now just dnt start crying over this statement.this is the truth accept it,or just know it.
So please dnt just spread airy noise and misguide other futire aspirants.
