One more thing kunal_blue .... you mentioned something about "MIS in Natural Resource's field" .... interesting ..... can u tell us more about it ??

actually MIS stands for management information system .this paper is taught in our third term.This paper deals about how various firms can deal by using various info systems n softwares etc.If u find this interesting then u can specialise in GIS .

the date which is written in prospectus.u should go by tht date only.generally calls of IIFM are very late.but the session ll start on 18th june .last year 400 calls were sent fr 45 seats.

Hi Kunal, I have been shortlisted for thr GD/PI at IIFm, and have my session on the 7th of March. My CAT %ile is 97.25. I have applied for IIFm purely out of interest, but I have some queries, which are not too unusual.

1. How is the course content?
2. Placements?
3. Future career prospects?

I am an engineer and have been working ion the industry for a while! However, I greatly feel the need to pursure a career wherein I would be able to contribute something to the society. I am not looking at a high pay after PG. Your commenst please...

Nice to see young people with concern for the society.now answering ur queriew...
1.course consists of 35 papers spread over 5 semesters.we have one field trip segment of 35 days and two organisational trainings of two and a half month each.so thr is strong thrust on practical exposure.
2.i ve already discussed about the placement scenario in my earlier posts.furthermore ,this year we ve seen stupendous placements in organisations like Olam international,icici bank,hdfc commodity exchange,itc bhadrachalam,Bilt,star paper mills,chhatisgarh NEGS PROG,SKS microfinance,atri,aid de accion ,sbi life to name a few.highest salary offer was $45,000 ctc per annum from Olam international with average salary nearly 20k in hand + other perks.lowest salary was 16 k in hand.
3.As far as career prospect is concerned i ve alraedy discussed about it in my earlier posts.please go thru em and even after reading tht u ve some queries left.i ll be more than happy to answer u.

can u plz tell me that if one of my friends with last year at 97%ile got a call,but did'nt joined the course
this year at 90%ile he has'nt appled ffor it
but can he apply now
please help
if any chances are there pm me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

one query, is accomodation going to be provided for the shortlisted students going over to IIFM, Bhopal for the GD/PI process & also is there any chance of the GD/PI process spilling over to the next day; have to make travel plans accordingly, you know!

gd/pi wont spill over to next day.n yea accomodation ll be provided at iifm.it s better to come one day in advancehere so that u can roam around our campus also.best of luck
