Anyways though would not be posting it Will definitely try to pour in views !! Again it would just be a try ! And My research on decent COPY PASTE would never stop !!! So data would be there with me !
I appreciate all that you and Aditi are doing here! Please continue.
As far as the topics like socialism are concerned, I would suggest to use Wikipedia, the next best thing on the net after Google. One can find very concise and sensible info on anything there... especially things like capitalism-socialism, history and all that!

I think my comment was take in wrong sense... padfoot your article was informative I never said that yours is an waste article ... infact the one which I posted was also copied from various websites....

what I really ment was when you search for a particular topic and you get lot many links .... please try to edit it and post the part which is most insightful... otherwise it will serve not much ,as somebody has to read all the relavent and irrelavent stuff.....

Infact what you opsted on ILO was good ... where you got it from I am least concerned about as long as it make sense (which It did) .... Infact I think that everybody sohuld try to keep is KISS (Keep It Short & Simple)... plese dont stop posting gyaan... contiue the work....

Well as far as What TISS asks, I differ with you Aditi b'cos from my source at tiss i Have got the following info ....

As for the Essay and GD topics i can be of some help....
These were the topics that my friend had collected from my
class buddies for essay and GD...hope these r of
use... these r just indicative and not an exhaustive list.........

Essay
BPO : New opportunties for Women?
Elections reflect the political will of the people
New idustrial development model for India
Population burst - a liabality or resource
Rural urbal divide - a paradox of development
Has corruption become a way of life in India
Is urbanization detrimental to sustained development
R&D is no t taken care of manufacturing
Is population control the only solution for social
development
India - a super power ?
Iraq Issue- US Hegemony
Is corporate secor disabaility friendly
Can knowledge economy be the backbone of India economy
Privatisation of education- boon or bane
contribution of women in indian economy
wildlife conservation - a dismal track record in India
PIL is misused in India

As for the interview .. it depends on where you take the interview..
u must be congruent at TISS... do be your original... do not try to be fake.....
check ramanathans interview on the pG forum... also since u have 3 years experience.. they are sure to ask u ur learnings from your work.......

Hope it is of use to you
Azeem

Hi was selected for the interview last yr. it lasted for 15 min's approx. questions are generally based on your background (acad's+work ex) , if u have work ex. expect alot of ques. on that , know the field uve been workin inside out ,they may ask u to discuss abt. a social issue , as far as labour laws are concerned i wasnt asked any but a friend of mine was and how long the GD lasted ...well cannot recollect but i can say everyone in my group got ample of time to speak (well at least i had ) . Hope this helps

Azeem
well if u read my post I've merely said tht we could discuss TISS-centric topics. I never said tht these have to be ACTUAL topics.
& general issues r cool wth me but I reiterate they r easily accessible thru newspapers/tv/net..
while having organised data on labor/socialism etc would benefit many of us who dont cm from a commerce/so.science bckgnd.
