Nice to have some of you chipping back on this thread.

Am now doing quite well in Mock and Sim CAT`s. In the 97th to 98th percentile.

Agree with Immie that Math isnt particularly difficult, so long as concepts are udstood.

HEY RAMKRPA/YAHOO/ET ALL.........

When is TISS advert going to be released?????

What abt. the Obj. test .....is it there?????

Any other areas regards the Selection process worth telling us?????

Friends,

nothing about the advertisements is out yet... i personally feel that it should be out by the end of next month (no official statement though ).....
we were tied up a little here and a little there.... now we are back. (Javed , Ram and me )... As for the written test no official word on it as yet...but makes sense to brush up for CAT in line with NOV 24.....
Also start undergoing your GD PI practices ....they would definitely be there..

Hi All,

I am new to this thread but not new to PG. I have been trying to find Info. about TISS for a long time and tried to know when is it coming out with its forms.
Reading the thread has solved most of my queries.Well to talk about me ....:grab:

I am an IT professional working in an MNC in Pune (" Hi goforit85 "). will be completing about 15 months in the Company in Dec. Right now working hard for CAT.

HR interests me badly and after seeing the kind of work being done by the HR Team in my Co. my dedication has only become stronger.

Guys this thread really Rocks thanx to all the people from TISS guiding us. Guess u cant get better seniors than them. would love to be their junior this year.

Everyone who is Joining Prof. Kamat's classes in Dec or later in Pune can you tell me the details about it Like start and end date, time of sessions , location where classes will be held etc.

I need this info as due to my work pressures i have to make sure that i can find time for
classes and make my work schedule acc.

HAPPY DIWALI TO ALL WOULD BE TISSIANS & PGites.
Just 19 days to go for the most important milestone in my life....And I am determined to give it a run for my money.

Will be back in action for TISS prep. after CAT. Now I have to tame the CAT.

HEY FUNDOO: goforit would be able to tell u more abt. Prof. Kamat`s GD/PI grooming in Pune. But from what I know GD/PI for CAT as well as other B-schools will commence from Dec onwards. New Batches will start from Dec and will be on right upto first week of Jan. In Mumbai there are 3 classes a week, each of 2 hours duration and classes will be on till 1st week of April. The TISS batch will continue till end May. This process I think will be mirrored in Pune. Fees for GD/PI batch ending in April is 12K (around 40 classes) and for TISS (around 60 classes) is 14k. I think you should give Prof. Kamat a call on his cell or at his residence. He is a nice man to speak to. Hope this helps you.

HI ALL,

Back after over a month. Too busy with office pressures and ofcourse going hammer and tongs after CAT. Am now in a much better frame of mind as far as CAT.

TISS studies have taken a back seat as of now. Once CAT is through will start for XAT and TISS. I wish TISS has the objective written exam, can then use the knowledge of CAT prep.

HEY SENIORS: When is the Final placement???? How were the Summer placements ???? Which Cos. had come to TISS????

Am now writing Essays in full swing. Have made good progress too.

Thanks to the guidance that Prof. Kamat is providing, my writing style and content has improved substantially. His directives on selective reading, which am following is also helping me. His correspondence course rocks.

hey all..

wish yu all a very happy diwali ..n prosperous new year.
life is going gud..ya started writing essays but the pace is relatively slow. Jus for an idea and motivation ..hey monalisa.. how many essays you are able to draft in a week? n also how many essays you have written til now...

anyways i ws working on a essay on crime against women..jus faced this problem of diffentiating btw empowerment of women and crime against them..where one ends and the other one starts.. thught wuld share wid all..to get some inputs ..

rest cool..i really gotta work ..to be able do atleast wat i plan..m goin very slow

Well guys its back to square one, Tiss notification in Hindustan times today
and from what i hear from currentg students the test is gonna be a cat pattern.still waiting that something good might come up.All the best to all he aspirants
