Hey ppl i guess this might look very early for some of u but i guess every1 shud be clear bout the college they wanna apply to.....so i thought of starting this thread

i am an engineering .. currently enployedunder my father as that gives me an advantage .. of working on my own projects too as an entrepreneur...

my acads : X=79%( west bengal board )
XII=69%(west bengal board )
b.tech= 78% (ECE) ..(west bengal university of technology)

please tell me about the placement , faculty and infrastructure ... industry interface .. and your general perception of the college as a whole ./..

well the batch consists of nearly 60% enggs. , 25% BCom grads and rest 15% are others viz. BA, BSc, BIT, etc. Placements are 100% and avg salary is around 3.6 lakhs per annum......placements are really good for HR and Marketing
....industry interface is quite good....companies like wipro, tcs, regularly come here for seminars .... infrastructure is not as great as some of the other top colleges but it is improving.....faculty are really qualified, most of them have taught in IIM's or XLRI.....that should me enug...chalo fir.....mail me if u have any more doubts.

hey i am working wth one software company (past16 months)here in Bangalore , fortunately i am in product development and R&D ,,,,,,,,and ..................my office is just 100 M away from XIME ............... i have decent acads (Electronics & Communication 74%),but not from top class insti ,but i have 18 Months Work-Ex(till 31st Dec2005) , I am giving XAT and also thinking of XIME can u tell me something more about college ..........i am least bother about placements and salary ..............please tell me about overall learning experience ...as ur there ur the right-person ........to know from

Hi ........its a Gr8 idea ...to share information abt the collage...... I too have heard abt this collage..as i too am working in Electronic city ...in software testing..... i have total of 24 months exp..till dec 2005........well apart from what MIG ask has asked..i have the following queries:
1. whats is the Placenment scene at XIME.....highest , lowest ......
2. With exp of 2 yrs in top notch company..what kind if placement can one expect.
I m sure we will have lot more queries....

hey anees am a first year student of xime and an old pagal guy member !
average placements are around 3.5 lakhs !
the current batch has people with 5 yrs work ex ( average work ex is 1-2 yrs)
best placements were for Hr and Mktg ! (last year)

To be frank this is a very decent place to be in and gonna grow big!

the director of this college was IIm- B former director and Xlri former dean

since u from bangalore itself check out the college first hand ! any of us there will help u out !

ninju has told everything that is needed to be said, there's no need to worry about the placements....it's quite good. By the way there's a new placement coordinator at XIME....she's done her MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad and has worked for DSP Meryll Lynch for some years. So the placements will only improve if anything....if u still have any doubts do mail me at ximerocks@gmail.com....and Mig2005 the quality of teaching here is really good....even faculty from IIM-Bangalore come here to give guest lectures....

Xime_Rocks thanks for starting the thread.well im looking for some more info abt xime since it wasnt on m radar till few days back(till i realised i got to keep backup options as my simcats rnt going great-85-92%)....so guys could u tell me abt the institute a bit more...i mean howz it with respect to others like tapmi/bim/gim/liba etc n also likes of icfai/itm/kj som in the category...this is gonna be my second n last attempt at mba so im type of a bit despo...last yr i ddint evn consider xime.

the website of xime isnt impressive.nt much specific placement data....im a bcom grad with 3.5 yrs of sales work ex.even thinkin of oing don till bimtech/IILM if req this yr.....also looking at great lakes and sp jain dubai.....

xime is a very decent institute with 3.5 lakhs as average salary on par with the institutes u have mentioned and the location in electronics city makes it even more advantageous to be close to industry.ya i agree that the website of college is not impressive but we guys are working here on it seriously and by november ending a new website would come out.
About cutoffs i guess it would be around 75 percentile.But the information does not come out of academic office and is maintained confidential.But if you have good work ex then u may be considered even for less percentile and there r many factors like ur academics,achievements etc.So keep posting u doubts and all the best for cat and xat.
