pls send ur opinions abt the course/insti. - 27-08-2005, 01:26 PM

I work for Patni as an associate software eng. I am a grad in IT.
I am from Bombay. I have not visited the campus.. However I have asked my bro who stays in Bangalore to take a look at the campus. I am doubtful that the address given in the advertisement is the campus.. That could well be the co-ordinating office. coz it has an address line like .... "Ashirwad Towers". Though not sure.
Have you applied for this institute..?
When r the rounds and whenz the coll starting.?
Have u recd the call letter?
Is it really worth applying?
Do u hav a w.e. before/after pg.?

Rest: pls post in ur profiles.. Also ur opinions about the insti. / Course

thanks,

Where n when s da selection process scheduled to take place. - 27-08-2005, 02:08 PM

I had called the ppl in Bangalore.. They said the entire selection procedure will take place at the Bangalore campus (on 3rd and 4th).
They had no arrangements made for the aspirants in other cities.

I doubt the crediblity of the selection proc.

The selected ppl will be intimated on the same day they appear for the selection. So, its implied, if the student gets selected on the first.. he reserves his seat out of the 100 who will finally be selected. if all 100 seats are alloted on the first day itself. the student scheduled on the second day just appears for the selection process without having a chance to be thru..
What I mean is the chances of the candidate scheduled on 4th depends on the number of people selected on the 3rd and not on their personal capabilities.

Guys, I personally feel that the no of ppl who have applied are not many. (I asked them but they did not disclose)
Also, I confirmed that the address mentioned in the advertisement is the address of the campus.
i.e. #17, Ashirwad Towers, Doddanekkundi Cross, Marathahalli, Mahadevpura, Outer Ring Road, Marathahalli Post, Bangalore – 560 037
This seems to be in some kind of a residential building.. (Ashirwad Towers). Not Sure.

If u ask me, I dont feel that this course should be worth taking up.
However, I still have some time to judge.
Please share ur opinions guys.
Waiting for the same at the earliest.

Thanks,

Well I too got the prospectus from BMA . Not really sure how it works out..in their site they say they have about 50 recruiters but this is gonna be the 1st batch? And is this a normal PGDBM or the executive prog? I see just the exec thing in the site! IF someone from BIM can comment would help out..

Err Im assuming all of the ppl here got the prosp by inviting them for the GD/PI..do they give it out to all or just BIM"S rejects?

BMA feels that the written test is an elimination and cuts out the potential mgrs, ok fair enuff but hey BIM this is your brainchild so shouldb't you be doing the same thing?

Its a little double stds when you think about it??:whatthat:
