guys, i guess IITB does chk out the Quant scores before giving out calls ...Phooka, pls confirm this if possible....ofcourse the overall Rank also does matter!

hey don,

u have quite a similar situation like i has last year. I had aggre of 60.3% and degree of 65.7% so managed to pass the criteria for all the IITs. and actually different IITs have different eligibility criteria's like DMS,IIT Delhi needs 60% aggregate, SJMSOM needs first class degree(which u have), IISc needs atleast 2nd class,etc. So just check that in the JMET 2005 brochure about each insti's criteria. You will manage to qualify for most of them if u have ur degree as 1st class.

do they want a consistent 60 % in all semesters or just the average of 8 semesters...and in case of freshers the avg of 6 semesters???

well cant confirm it officialy but from what i gather from talks with my colleagues is that most of them had more than decent quant section.

I more than know the details of the girl in question. She is from my graduation college only. I know the company she worked for and the place also where she was posted. But how does it matter. That was not what i wanted to convey to junta here. I m not interested in describing the life history of person here but help aspirants get a hang of things they are going to face in future.

Why have u taken it so personally. I mentioned that so as to inform the aspirants that Kgp gives weightage to other attributes also.

Try to get what other is trying to convey and then raise ur swords.

Jus to inform here. I attempted only 12 questions in quant and am sure two of them were wrong.

And got a final call frm IITB.

i had a rank of 2300 last time in jmet could not apply to anywhere because everone said at that time that 2300 will not get a call from anywhere except may be roorkee..tring once more this time..by the way anyidea when is jmet this time
