hi guys as the cet admission process is approachin near its time v hav sum info abt the loans and the reates at which they r provided.

i invite u 2 pour in all u r queries and any finding u hav abt the education loans and i will try my best 2 answer them 4 u.

hi ppl i hav inquired at the following banks :

icici, hdfc, obc and sbi and all the banks apart frm sbi provide loans at an interest of 10.5 %, while i hav cum 2 no tht sbi has a tie up with jb and they r providing loans at a much lower rate 4 jb students, i hav spoken 2 the branch manager near my house and he will tell me 2 day wat rate hes chargin 4 jb students, but i hav cum 2 no frm ashish and other jb seniors tht sbi charges 8.25% 4 jb students.

hi shivam!!
do u have an idea, can i go 4 a loan after i deposit the fee..if i do so, how will i get the refund... why i'm askin this is bcauz i'm reachin mum on 27th and gonna deposit the fee on 28th...so wud not hav time to complete the loan formalities..

as per policy u can get a refund of the amount u hav already paid as fee.

Hi Shivam,
I am a fellow JBite. Am currently working in Bangalore and wanna come 4 admission on the 25th. All I want to know is the exact amount of fees that needs to be paid for the current academic yr @ JB. Also whats the mode of payment?..If its cash fine..but if its DD then can u just tell me in who's favour I should draw the DD?

yah refund is possible i know dat...but what is the procedure at JB, waz what i wanted 2 know...like at NMIMS, refund is given by coll authorities..bank gives a draft in coll's name only...is it the same in case of JB also..

do u hav ny idea which bank is offerin the lowest rate. uptill now it was thought tht sbi is offering 8.25% but yesterday i went 2 sbi and even spoke 2 the manager of sbi churchgate branch over the phone and they said there is no concession 4 jb students. the rate stands at 10.25%.

those guys takin loan ne info abt the rates etc.

hi rajat sice there is so much confusion prevailing wat u can do is call up jb at the foll nos.

22024133 / 22024118 / 22025153 and speak 2 mr. kamble on the 2nd floor he has all the info.

even i might go 2 jb 2 day so if i go i will definately ask this 4 u.

hi dude wait 4 the allotment tomorrow and when u will b alloted jb they will give u all the details of the amount and whom 2 addres the dd etc.

so wait 4 tom till u take any furthur steps.

Well Allahabad Bank gives Education Loan(EL) @ PLR-(1/2)%. Their current PLR is 11 %.

They have a list of institutes which comes under the -2% category of EL. So the students there gets loan @ 9% p.a. Other get @ 10% p.a.

Check their site www.allahabadbank.com for the list of institutes. I think JB is covered in that.
