Both IIM I and XLRI have almost similar placements and facilities. What XLRI gains on is better faculty and better alumni network. However, the Pan-IIT alumni association and alumni base (as i have been told) is a big help when one switches jobs. Moreover it helps in getting great international job offers(again as i have been told). ANd at the end of the day IIM I does have that tag, and i certainly believe that tag matters being an IITian myslef, i think it was partly to this tag that i got into XLRI.

I also have some apprehensions about XLRI being the best in HR and being not so good in finance or marketing????

Please clarify the above doubts.

Hi Vikrant,
I am looking for an advice from you. Ihave not been scoring well in my mock cats, its not that i m not able to solve questions, I am able to solve questions after i come home and try to solve the paper. But i m not able to find the reason for why this is happening(specially in DI) . I am not able to clear the cutoffs of even a single section , even though after coming back home i am easily able to find questions which can help me clear cutoffs. My attempts in DI and qunat are low ( i am slow in solving questions) . Looking for your suggestions as there are hardly 2 monthsfor the exams
