    Hi Krishanu,

Even though I managed to bag a PMIR call, I am afraid it won't make any sense for me, because I screwed the essay really bad . I was not at all well after the exam, and couldn't complete the essay even after trying a lot. I wrote about 5-10 lines and that too real bad. Is there any chance I can explain why I did so badly ? What is the weightage of the essay in the final selection ? Please help

PMIR is essentially all about Human resources and labour laws, industrial relations, etc. The BM course on the other hand is a normal MBA course in which u can specialize in Fin, Mar, Ops or Sys. Thats the basic difference. In the 1st year many subjects are common in both the courses. In teh 2nd year the electives are taken which depend on your specialization. Placements are great for both the programs and basically your interest in any specific stream should be the decisive factor in choosing one over the other. All The Best.
