had my GD PI today
1o -->84
12-->76
end -->79
work ex -->3 yrs

GD was complete disaster
topic was -->financial reforms progess to india hurdle
complete fish market
one girl doing all bakwass
i said many times tht we are deviating from topic by discussing on politics but they ue to say we are not
tried jumping around 4 to 5 times with high voice tone .
told them to discuss abt FII 1990 liscense raj but all inn vain

girl was beautiful so tht panelist .........
i was not visible only from tht panelist angle so even tht jumped in around 4 times wasnt of much use

just entered was expecting q like abt myself , why MBA , hobbies
but none of such q came up

just one statement came up and tht was i wont give u this finance seat (yae kya bol raha hae)

but i can give u marketing seat if u want

i said i dont want marketing , it is not my choice
but till the end of my interview he kept forcing me to take mrketing seat
this was my only topic till 10 mins after which my interview ended



in between he asked me my dads net worth
best finance college in france (i said i dint knew)
at the end of interview he told me that i am a fool not going for marketing seat and wants finance seat which he will never give me


here ends my day and year tooo

Are GD/PI of all centers over?? ANybody got any friends or contacts studying in WE currently?? Or any seniors?? Need to ask some info

btb one thing i believe we are all missing abt CTC or average package is that unlike some other schools WE has some courses other than the flagship PGDM course like ebiz, designing etc... And these being new courses will have lesser offers both number as well as package wise hence bringing down the whole average package! So If u take course wise the story might be different..

PS: Not trying to scare anyone of...just trying to bring some cheers to this post!!

Not really...........PGDM e biz started in 2007........so the first batch will come out ths year and biz design started in 2008 so no batch has passed out as yet. the average figures are of the flagship PGDM program only.

The result of a psychometric test is not a score! ...
It gives a personality type as the result and sometimes even gives you points on various characteristics depending upon how it is programmed ...

There are no marks here but if your test evaluates you as person fit for marketing and you have chosen HR as your profile then it shows inconsistency.. which means either you have not chosen the field properly or you have faked in the test..

I am not sure if b-schools prefer extrovert & adventurous personalities....but imo it should not be this way..

I had my GDPI today 1 pm slot....

GD topic : MAry had a little lamb and the lamb was sure to follow Mary, wherever she went

IT was starting to become chaotic but one guy took the initiative to allow all ppl speak .. and it turned out to be a good idea.. I spoke about my interpretation and everyone came up with interesting stufff..
The person who summarized did it beautifully .. This was my best ever GD

PI : It started and ended on a weird note .. no 'Tell me about yourself', no 'Why MBA?' , no 'why so and so specialization?' ...
They asked me abt my job and some questions related to the product..

then 'give me an out of the box solution to the traffic problem in Mumbai'..
It was like.. 'now think something out of the box.. come on... fast!!!'
I talked something but it was not out of the box in any way..
could have done better ..

I came out in 10 mins .. dont know what to make of it...

Anyways if fees are hiked, I am out .. .

Cumon, u dont know if he is actually WE student or its competitors or a rejected student.

Its feels so ironic that even after a student making a genuine attempt to give a honest feedback on the college, people have a doubt about the authenticity of the person and his feedback.

I salute this guy who had the guts to write this honest a feedback. People who do not believe these word can very well come to the campus and experience every word of his words. Just hope that its not too late for them to realise this

If he is a genuine student, i appreciate his honesty.
But if not, he is misleading every1 @ PG and actually ppl started believing me..
Thats y i said instead of blindly believing in him, go to WE and check 4 urself.
If u need 2 b future managers,atlst take this as ur 1st task...
Aways,This thread is for GDPI exp. only and that post has already had a big big discussion in another thread.
