hi mate..i thought that amity is a descent school.While seeing this post i feels really bad.
" 1. Amity had been granted an AICTE approval 3 yrs back for its PGDM course which was withdrawn promptly.
2. The MBA course according to the GOI as well as UGC guidelines has to be AICTE approved as its a technical course.
3. AICTE's withdrawl was challenged by Amity in sessions court which rejected the appeal.
4. Amity approached the highcourt for an appeal which has NOT given a stay on the AICTE order but the hearing is on for past 1 year.
5. As per current status, all the Management courses still are unapproved and "Unauthorised" as per AICTE law.
6. There are close to 30 Institutes which have been forced to close down in past 2 months because of such irregularities. but since the case is still in court Amity has not been asked to close its MBA courses.
Looking as such response i am in dilemma what should we do.. At this stage it seems its a risky idea to get my admission Amity:(
thanks about the info bro. u ve really helped me to make my decision.now i won't apply their as such its in noida i was reluctant to take a college there which doesn't provide a residential mba..i would also not to take the admission as more better options like IIlM,EMPi and ALLiance r there.but in the end its ur decession.

i have secured 649.5 composite score in dec mat to which institute i shud apply. how is lbs barelily and empi. though i have applied for christ collegei dont know wether i will receive a call or not.plz suggest which institute i shud apply
hey gunjan...seems tat ur in a fix...as i was few days back...i would say u should apply for EMPI or IILM..

Sure mate...but stil guys r goin amity, cuz of their placement. see mate ur bschool can change ur profile very much, so nevr join lower ranked colleges

and it is growing very swiftly
go for the 2 yr aicte approved full time pgdgm course.
fee is arnd 4 lac.

Well I have a question about Alliance, I had 98.7 percentile in the dec MAT but have managed only 52% marks in the first 2 years of my B.Sc degree course. Now alliance requires candidates to have above 60% marks at grad. level. According to their website : "candidates who have a record of 60% and above throughout their studies (in particular, X, XII and graduation) are encouraged to apply."
I did better with my X and XII with 81.2 and 84.2% respectively....so can I apply to alliance with hopes of getting a call? I am sure I can make up for my low percentage by studying hard in the final year....no matter how unlikely it might appear.....so any practical advices, Puys?
