Also i know this has been asked in the past, but I would like to know the exact list of documents to be submitted (nationality etc) & the no. of copies to be arranged for the same!
Thanks in advance!

Personally Speaking, if I had that Score, I would had put in JB as 1st, Sydhenam as 2nd and 3rd and KJ as 4th. Sydhenam was higher because I stay at western side and it has nice location. So you need to weigh options accordingly and put the options...
List of documents will be displayed in DTE site I guess and the number of copies too...Please scan those too for the same...

On a serious note many foreign universities & private bodies like GARP: FRM recognise Somaiya, i don't know whether the same is true for Sydhenam & others. SIMSR national ranking is considerably high as it only accepts CAT score, hence there is no dilution in terms of quality of students. The cut off for PG is 93 %tile & it is poised to go up as CAT is going online (more no. of students will take cat this year as it is spread over a 10 day period).
SIMSR has national recognition, sydhenam does'nt.
Having said all of that: For all practical purposes - there is no difference between Syd, SIMSR, Welingkar.

also jinesh i want to know as i want apply for loan so do i need to pay the whole fees first as loan will be passed after 15 days of applying.
or can college authorities can keep that on hold until loan is passed.
bcoz its difficult for me to arrange the whole amount of fees.
|
As I mentioned before, the college will give you time to arrange for loan, You will have to submit a formal application for the same.
Please scan through previous few pages, I have mentioned the details of the Loan application.

also, when is a good time to apply for the hostel seat, is it after the admission or before ?
and what are all the expenses involved ?

Hostel has lot of Empty spaces. Actually as of now, the top 5 floors are completely vacant. So no worries.
The charges are 70 K per year ( I guess 5 K is refundable).
Mess charges 20 K per year (Not Mandatory)
And anyone can apply for the Hostel seat.
There are people staying at Santacruz, who shifted to Hostel at the same time few of my classmates travel from Vasai and Bhayander everyday.
So I would suggest, travel for a week and then decide on the hostel as I think it is bit expensive.

2) Will i need a Gap certificate?
Also in my application form for CET i had not mentioned anything about M.COM as i wasnt sure that i want to give it.Is that fine or will it be a problem during admissions?
Please reply as soon as possible.
|
It is fine that you didn't mention about MCom.
You will have to submit Transfer certi from your graduation college.
You will need GAP certi as you have GAP of 1 year (according to records)

Hi All
I just wanted some general information about KJ Somaiya, like the ranking of the college according to some survey, how was the placement of the previous batch, how and when to apply for the 2010-12 batch....
I know, I may be asking redundant information, but somebody please quote the previous posts which have answer to my questions...
Thanks
Ankit

Hello Ankit,
This questions are answered many times before. I will answer the question that is not answered.
The best time to apply for KJ will be through CAT which will be held in Nov 2009. If you wanna apply for Maharashtra CET, it will be in 3rd week of Feb 2010.
