Hey what are the gujju seats and ILS Seats..Can u tell priyaj or rock2star?? Coz its vreating confusion now as to wat is the real scenario..
Also if poss can u tell the last years Cutoff and Merit no. as it is givin my sleepless nites..

Last year ILS was for everyone and it is the same case this year. Please read my previous post. It has the updates.
But overall the cutoffs might decrease this year. All the best!!

Few very important Updates:

1. 1st List of Gujrati Quota will be out by 1st week of July i.e. almost in parallel with DTE's 1st List.
2. Gujrati Quota is only for Maharashtra University Students as you need to submit Domicile Certificate(proof of you staying in Maharashtra for over 15 years).
3. No Management quota seats. The ILS seats will be given on merit basis as per last year. ILS seats are also only for Mumbai University Students.
4. The ILS forms should be out after 2nd List of Gujrati QUota.
5. ILS is open for everyone and not only Gujraties.
6. The chances is that the ILS cutoffs might be higher this time as everyone is aware about the process unlike last year where only the handful few knew about it and thus they could get admission.
7. The likely cutoff:
8. Open (Mumbai University) - 167 -2
9. Gujrati Quota - 158 -2
10. for others also like OMS and All India seats, the cutoffs might reduce by 2-3 marks compared to last year.

This is the most accurate data.
ILS = Institute Level Seats. For any basic queries check dte site. Any updates regarding SIMSR, I will post it here.

It does depend upon you but the trend is that people having interviews in JB or Welingkar have scored less comparitively, till last year.

Thats sucks... I am from Pune University and Gujarati Quota was applicable for whole Maharashtra during last year.

A Puy 'Samip' was not from Mumbai and still secured admission to SIMSR with Gujarati Quota..

This is totally unfair... I have filled the Gujarati Quota form and am ready with Domicile, Nationality, Affidavit & Community Letter Head with a lot of hassles and all other relevant documents and now they say that its only for Mumbai Students...

If you have the domicile, then you will get in. Thats what I have mentioned. For Gujrati Quota you need Domicile. If you have it then no issues.
