Hi,

I've done my graduation in Mumbai and i have 2 yrs of experience in HP. I wanted to know how much weightage is given to acads during admission in jbims, as I have very average acads. Also will I be considered a maharashtra state candidate as I have done my grad from Maharashtra?

Thanks in advance!!!

in JBIMS weightage for academics is not a big issue bcoz total number alloted for acads r just 4marks out 240marks total........but sometimes they can play a big role in selection .......abt ur candidature u belong to maharastra quota

1. At 99.57.. you have absolutely no chances of making it into JBIMS
2. Anyway, MH-CET considers Feb. MAT scores, so Dec. MAT scores wouldn't have any bearing on whether you make it into JBIMS or not!

All the best..

Re: JBIMS Admissions 2009-11 - 27-12-2008, 11:40 AM

hi

i got 99.38% in dec mat.
i understand that one has to appear for feb mat for JBIMS an should get 99.99%
my doubt is in MAT exam ,there is a section which tests ur general awarness[GA][intelligence....... section]
but the marks u get in this section are not taken into consideration when the mat % is calculated.
my question is as this is not considered in the MAT % ,will it be alrite if i reduce my time in this section so that i can concentrate on the sections which are taken into consideration for the MAT %.like this i can increase my MAT% by reducing the time spent on the GA section.
but then my score and % in the GA section will be reduced.will this be a problem for me to get admitted into JBIMS even though i get 99.99%.will they ask me abt this in the GD/PI.
if it is not a problem, then i can reduce the time spent on this section or might as well not attempt this section and use this time to increase my score in the other sections which will contribute to my MAT score.

i hope i am clear in what i asked .
i hope seniors can clear this doubt.
thanks

the GA score holds no bearing on the %ile and will not affect your chances of getting it into JBIMS.. so go ahead.. crack the MAT.. just give a token amount of time to the GA section so that you don't have an absolute zero in the section.

all the best..

How many seats does JBIMS has for non-maharashtrian students applying through MAT?

Re: JBIMS Admissions 2009-11 - 27-12-2008, 07:58 PM

guys, I need some help. I am a maharashtra state candidate. I'll be taking CET this year. I have heard that one can apply for all India seat as well. Can I really do that by taking MAT. because scoring 99+ percentile in MAT is easier than in CET. If I do that, which score will be considered. will I be considered as OMS candidate then? please help. can anyone please explain the procedure in detail, and I want to know whether any maharashtra state candidate has done this before?

Thanks
