i wanted to knw what was the no. of students who appeared for CET 2008..i myself had appeared for it and had scored 99.97%ile bt nw i need the no. of students for sme work of mine..if sme body has the approximate figure plz post it...thnks in advance...

p.s. rite nw at FMS...

Last year the number of students who appeared for CET was approximately 80000.

hi guys i m new to this thread and forum and i m posting this for the first tim so plz bear with me!!!!!
I wanna know how many colleges in mumbai take their own entrance exams including the CET.Like Narsee Monarjee conducts NMAT to get an entrance to NM.So will u plz tell me how many colleges in Mumbai require their own entrance test apart from CET to get an admission into that college.I will be very greatful to anybody who help me in this matter.Plz Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiii....starting wid JMET which is only for engineers n aimed for IIT's mba..den TISS to be conducted on 14th dec dis yr.....den as u said nmat for narsee monjee ( 28th dec)...den MAT ( various colleges accept MAT scores)..even ATMA ( one college which i know which accepts atma score is welingkar apart frm other scores like cat,cet,jmet,xat)...den SIES has its own test...i think its in 1st or 2nd week of march..not sure but...These are the tests which i know for different colleges being conducted....sorry forgot one name..ICFAI exam in month of dec....hope i have solved ur query...

Happy to start...Here are some questions for CET..

Directions: In each question below is given a statement followed by two assumptions numbered I and II. An Assumption is something supposed or taken for granted. You have to consider the statement and the following assumptions and decide which of the assumptions is implicit in the statement.
Give answer
(1) if only assumption I is implicit;
(2) if only assumption II is implicit;
(3) if either I or II is implicit;
(4) if neither I nor II is implicit and (5) if both land II are implicit.

1. Statement : “Join X –coaching classes –we guarantee your success”-an advertisement.
Assumptions : I. such coaching classes are well equipped.
II. students joining coaching classes expected success.

2. Statement : “According to me, you should get your child examined by a specialist doctor”- A tells B.
Assumptions: I. Specialist doctors are able to diagnose better than ordinary doctors.
II. B will certainly not agree with A’s advice

3. Statement : Lack of stimulation in the first four or five years of life can have adverse consequences.
Assumptions : I. A great part of the development of observed intelligence occurs in the
earliest year of the life.
II. 50 percent of the measurable intelligence at age 17 is already predictable by
the age of four.

4.Statement : The present examination system needs overhauling thoroughly.
Assumption: I. The present examination system is obsolete.
II. Overhauling result in improvement.

5. Statement : “ Banking services are fine tuned to meet growing business needs”- An advertisement.
Assumptions: I. Banking is a part of business activity.
II. Industrialists prefer better banking services

gr888 to c some1 has started posting the questions.....thnx a lot....btw is der ne method or proof to solve such questions like assumptions, conclusions,etc or just read n solve it...acc to me accuracy in such problems is low.
