Dear all,
My name is Ravi and I have a weird question.. I am a State Maharashtra Type "B' candidate(i.e maharashra domicile but graduated from outside maharashtra).. I will appear for my final exam in the month of July 2009. I am eligible to appear for CET '09 and once i secure the admission, then (as per the CET brochure) i have to clear the exam before 30th September 2009.. Itna samjha.. but, i get my results in the first week of september, however the result comes on the university website and it takes another 60 days to get a hard copy.. my question is, i can show that i have cleared but can i submit some provisional letter, an attested print out of the marks from the website or something till i get a hard copy.. or any other solution..???
Please help me with this.. its killing me and its affecting my preparation already..

Also do we have to apply for the institutes separately by buying their prospectus or we can apply to the institutes through CET?

Hii geek...forms will b out in last week of jan or sometimes on 1st feb...v have to collect d forms frm specified post office..list of post office will b given on d site...dte.org.in.......v dont have to apply seperately for d colleges as d case in snap n other exams...along wid d form theres a booklet in which names of colleges that comes under CET is given...

Some info dont know whether u all know or not...maharashtra candidates can apply to CET using 2 scores...one of cet n other of CAT/JMET/MAT-FEB 09/ATMA.....using the second score u can apply to oms seats also called all india seats...

Hey puneet,

Any candidate can do the same thing(OMS as well as maha).
That means if you are maha candidate and if you use score other than CET , they will consider you as a OMS candidate. So all india rank will be allotted to you. And as you know there are only 15% seats for OMS.

Hi ravi,
I think you are eligible for CET-09. As you are doing graduation from out of Maharashtra, you will be treated as OMS candidate.In your case, according to regulations of DTE, the candidate appeared for final year exam is eligible for exam. Also once you get the college after all the process, you need to convey the same thing to your college, and there won't be any problem.

Hi friend,

Here is the list of centers other than state of Maharashtra.
Delhi, Chandigarh, Ahmadabad, Bhopal, Indore, Jaipur, Raipur, Guwahati, Kolkatta, Bhuvaneswar, Chennai and Banglore.
This centers are as per last CET. So there is no center in kerala so far.
There are couple of good institutes come under CET. So definitely you will have choice for good colleges.
And if you are asking about the content, Please read my first post in this thread. Definitely MAT and CET are different kind of exams.

Thanks a lot puneet for ans the query. The reason i asked this because for an MBA aspirant it becomes a bit of expensive job to apply to different colleges and each form costs around 1000 Rs. Like if one like to apply to 3 institute of Symbiosis he should keep 5000 Rs separate just for Symbi.

yes.. thats the main problem with the private exams. i think only SNAP and XAT are the institutes trying to make money this way. rest all are fine. (pls correct if am wrong) those who apply early before the exams are only eligible. its quite a pain because we are not fortune tellers and we cant guess how well we will do since there is 3months left for the exams.

Hey frds....why has d thread became so silent...okiee...can v discuss wat all preparation v all doing for CET...like books, test series, etc...
starting wid me....rite now m going for CAT..so not yet started wid cet but after cat planning to start off wid R.S.Agrawal for reasoning....will b going for Time test series...
