Hi Rajati,

You have a good chance for making into PUMBA...

I would suggest you to fill up your options as
JB
SYD MMS
SYD PG
KJ
WEL
PUMBA.

So if you get any better option then it is great, or if you get into PUMBA in first round dotn take it and have patience for CAP round 2. You might end up getting better.

Anurag Sir, your reply was so soothing!!!. But in 2007, CAP I(PUMBA) last rank (OMS) was 120 and CAP II last rank was 142(OMS). With AIR 238 do I really have chance???. Ofcourse this year AIR = OMS + MS(AIR). So would this make so much of a difference??

That would definitely make some difference.

Anyways you can fill up to 15 options, so I would suggest you to fill up all of them in series of your preferences and see where you stand in the cap round 1. After that you can hope for some improvement and try your luck in subsequent CAP round (if you want to).

Well plz guide me as well. My AIR is 75, (I'm OMS). So what shud I try for in CAP-I and CAP-II. Also I have a seat booked in SITM(Mk&Fin), so guide me accordingly. That is to say that which option is better for me. Plz PM me if u feel something can't be said in public.

If you have taken seat in SITM then definately you should go for CAP round 2 (if you dont get good college in CAP 1)

Hi Rajati,

This is a little tough job for me... During my CAP round I had filled only JB in my option form so didn’t do proper research for the later colleges.

It depends upon your personal choice also that whether you want to do MBA in Finance, Marketing or HR....

I believe the easiest way would be to check last year's allotment list and see what the trend is and decide which college to give what rank. The list of college which I gave you is also in accordance with the trend of last year's allotment
