All about MET Institute of Management

Hello everybody,

I am current student of MET, Bandra, Bombay and is here to help all you regarding MET College.

College is having following courses

MMS (Masters in Management Studies) --Mumbai University, AICTE and DTE
Admn thru CET 120 seats, 24 Management quota seats

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (e-Business) --Approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Recognised by Govt. of Maharashtra, 60 seats

e-empowered Management & Business Administration (Insurance) -- Autonomous programme, 90 seats

e-empowered Management & Business Administration -- Autonomous programme, 180 seats

Placement is centralised irrexpective of course.

The avg package stood at 4.5 for the 06-08 batch with highes being 10 lac and lowest 3 lac.

Whole range of companies come to the colg for the recruitment and placment is better for Marketing as compared to other stream, interestingly rush for finance is more in our colg.

The colg is located in Bandra (W) reclamation adjescent to Lilavati Hospital.

College is promoted by Chagan Bhujbal ex. cm and ex. central govt minister.

After the Ist Term is there a seperate macro and micro specilization available?
like Finance + Banking,Mktng + Advt or so so...

What are the job profiles offered for freshers ? and starting salaries i.e, min,avg and max for freshers ?

Thanks for the initiative to help
Was having a lil hard time finding info related to the e-empowered MBA (the non-AICTE approved).
Wel I have applied for the same and have my rounds on the 7th. I have selected the option of giving the MET-CET. Just wantd some information about the same. I would number them for your ease to answer..
1) I heard that it would have questions of MH-CET level. Is that right??
2) What would be the duration of the paper??
3) What about the negative marking??
4) Would there be seperate sections??
5) Is the GD having normal topics or based on case studies??

Majority of the students in the college are fresher so one is easily getting good job and package even he is fresher.

Well you are from MMS or PGDBM batch ??How good are both the courses( cos ppl say MET MMS is better than the PGDBM E biz course)
Anyidea when admission for E-biz gonna start for this year , cos compared to other colleges MET admission process has not yet started for E biz while all other colleges have done with their results.....

I have 106/200 in writtens (90.70%) and 4 PAR with 1.5 yr work ex. Expecting 27-28 in GD PI...do i have ne chances for MET?
And I heard that MET fees are higher than fees of some other colleges having nearly same cut offs...is it true?

mms is university course and flaghsip course of any institute in bombay

as regards to structure of both is more or less same

and most of the faclulty are same in both prog

and we have common centralised placement
