Hi friends,
Had my CET GD-PI today at welingkar at 9.00 am,initially we were given one form to fill up.Details they are asking in the form are as follows:

Name :
CET Roll No. :
App No.:
Graduation Stream:

School/College Name,University,Year of Passing and Percentage Of SSC,HSC or equiv,Gradution(ie percentage and other info all individual years).

Strengths and Weakness:

Achivements:

Extra-Curricular:

Most Imp Event of the last Decade:

What do you think what will contribute to the India to be the Global Power :

and last but not the least Why you want to do this course:

Now comes GD :

there were the panel of 3 members,2 of the age 50+ and 1 in 40-50.and total of 12 canditates in which 2 of thm were absent

they had given 2 topics and told us to select,first one i dont remember exactly but it was related to "flexibility in specialisation in Indian Education System" and second one was "Legalise the coaching classes and close down the regular college classes".we unanimously selected the second one.It was a good GD,every one had a valid points except two.It lasted for around 15-20 mins and finally one of the moderator told us to conclude.

After 5 mins ,we had a PI,it was totally on the Form Details and little bit of GK.

I was out of the Welingkar at 9.50.

Overall,GD and PI was Good.

Great Post,,this will almost create a clear picture of GD/PI to all the aspirants.

Can you tell me whether they lay emphasis on acads during PI ...

In my PI they were emphasising more on why mba after engineering rather than acads...suggested that i should be in IT industry as there is lots of demand in ERP and SAP but i defended myself at that time.

I have my GD/PI today at 5pm at SNDT santacruz.....will post my experience tonight!!!!

Hi all...
I had my gd/pi today at MIT, Pune at 10 am.here's my experience:
College is ok sorts but everything was organised really well. We were given that candidate profile form to be filled over there in the college itself, but only till our work ex coloumn.

There were 8 of us in our group. We were asked to choose a topic from among 2 given to us
1. Rural development alone will reseult in removing unemployment.
2.Integrity without knowledge causes .....(dont remember wat)... and knowledge without integrity causes destruction .
we were all for the first topic (unanimously due to lack of understand the first topic clearly!!) and were given 1 minute thinking time and 15 min for gd. in simple language, our GD was totally chaotic and a total mess. 3 ppl kept quite thru' out the gd, 2 were discussing something completly different (one actually spoke about bollywood influencig the urban population in hampering the development of our nation !! ) 2 were trying to make some points and i was just busy in trying to interpret wat was goin on!
thankfully it lasted only 10 min, after which the panelist gave each of us opportunities to speak indivisually.I dont think we made a good impression overall, but the panelist were definitely very helpful.

As for the Pi, it was really good. (At least i am satisfied the way it went! )
Some of the questions asked were:
*Tell me about yourself and your family
*Why MBA
*On my family business
*What is success
*What are short term and long term goals
*3 Favourite books
*hobbies
*strengths

Overall, it was good, not a stress interview for me, but some of the other guys were grilled. One gal said that her hobbies were reading books and internet surfing. And she was totally grilled on current affairs. But i guess, you can direct your interview to some extent.

Where all we have to sign? Attendence n any other formality?

Hey guys...just a few pointers from my side for the gd/pi

- cet gds tend to be very chilled out n relaxed...no heavy duty topics...just plain n simple awareness will get you through. more often than not, the topics are very generic and you can talk general gyan on it easily.

- appear confident and relaxed (even though u might feel a bit jittery, but thats ok)..the cet gds are very rarely a fish market scenario and tend to be a calm discussion about the topic in hand.evrybody usually gets a chance to speak and make a point.

- as for the pi, the emphasis is more on the form that u fill...which, going by the posts above, is the same form that we filled last year...

-prepare the common questions like why mba, goals in life, which college, which stream etc well coz they are ALWAYS asked, without fail.
