GD/PI Center: SNDT santacruz
Time: 3 to 4.(27th may, tuesday)
GD topics:
1. Justice delayed is justice denied
2. Impact of debt-free package to farmer on indian economy
3 panelists.we were 14 ppl in GD. 6 opted for 1st. rest for 2nd.
they gave 2 minutes to jot down/think...after 4 minutes they said strt!!
I started GD by saying:
"Good afternoon friends, As we all know govt has increased loan-waiver by 20% more from 60k crore to 71k crore last week. let us have PEST analysis for this issue.
Lets discuss this issue Politically,Economically,Socially and Technically (PEST).
Then i started speaking frm political point of view....said The budget was populist. as elections are nearing. this decision is more political then social. "
1 grl cut me and and then 3 ppl frm other end statrted discussing abt this topic within themselves. they dint followed my structure. girl was dominating. Continuously chatting with 2 guys siiting next to her. as she started repeating same point......panelists stopped all 3 of them...and said them to keep quite and let others also participate.
Then again i spoke:
"Lets us look into other possible alternatives that cud hv taken instead of debt free package
I have 3 alternatives
1. River linking project..which also needs 70k crore+ investment. ong run every1 will benefit and no economic pressure
2. we shud have SAZs i.e. special agri zones like SEZs, where we can unite farmers with small cultivatable land and create miracle
3. we shud make them agricultually literate if not educationally..by creating awareness of new cost-saving technolofies they can adopt to lessen irrigation problems and infrasstructural problems"
then GD went on for next 5 minutes and all 3 of them strted dicussing again. 5 ppl who dint speak were said to conclude. 4 of them did it in lackluster way. 1 guy who was in jeans dint even said single word. panelist told him to speak in lang he knows....still he denied. after that same girl said...she has some points to share....she strted talking again
noone frm panelists were listening...they were talking among themselves.

I built my answer on 3 achievements in life.

i answered them....if i join now then i will not be able to put more inputs which i wud be after MBA.

I am open to every field...if i want to become entreprenuer 10 yr down the line, i shud not concentrate on 1 area. In MMS we have every subjects in 1st year. so i will get basic knowledge of every field and in 2nd year based on my interests and learning scope i will select specialization.

justified it very well. with few examples. how it was significant both ways. when bulls came and when bulls went out.
then few questions abt share market(as i expected)
>what is sensex/nifty? how it is calculated? are they are correct indicators? subprime crisis? answered them.
> How can India become Global power?
both tried drilling me in this question. but i was prepared with my UNIQUE answer. i made them ask me more details as i had used few heavy economic jargons in my answer statements like SPVs,RBC,Rbpos.
gave example of 1 unheard company of karnataka (it was there in ET few days back) who did well in karnataka's rural part.

Then they started givin me FEEDBACK
They said: We liked the way you entered the room, The way you presented, the way you asked for water, the way you dressed(i was in my full formals).
I replied: sir if we want to go for professional courses we need to look and act professionally. i am preparing for my next 2 years MBA life.
They told: U sold urself really well to us. u shud opt marketing.....as marketing is cheating ppl.
I replied: sir it is cheating ppl ETHICALLY. they started laughing.
when i strted leaving the room....they told "we hope to see u in some Biz newspaper 5 years down the line..all the best"
I was not able express to this words. I thanked them again and again for their feedback.
overall it took 25-30 minutes for my PI to get completed.
My cet score + par = 140 + 4 = 144.
Hope to see miracle.
