hey plz help!i dont undestand about the all india seats option.i have given cet as well as MAT.if i apply through all india seat option,will i lose my home university status(i am a maharashtra state candidate with pune home uni) and will i be competing as a OMS student??the CET website says there will be 2 waiting lists,one for maha candidates and the other for all india cet...im very confused!plz help!

I had my gd n pi today at SNDT (9.00 to 10.00) ...
The GD topics were:-
1) Should Married women be given concession in duty hours.
2) lessons that India can learn form China.

I wanted to take up the second topic but 8 people out of 14 (since from my batch only 6 people turned up ...the SNDT people combined my GD group with another GD group...as a reason we had 14 people in our group) went for the 1st topic... overall the gd was good... i spoke the most.

PI:-
Here comes the worst part... from other peoples experience i came to know that PI at sndt are were chilled out... but in my case he literally screwed me left right & center and grilled me... he asked me question on MANAGEMENT (since i m a BMS graduate), FINANCE, HR and Current topics... it was an stress interview... he asked me questions like wat is feedback controlling, wat r the four steps in the process of controlling, wat is the new abt Karnatak today etc....... the panel never agreed to my answers and kept on cross questioning me...

I am also suffering from same problem.
The dte officer also told me the same thing that you can apply to both category.
If you get any true information from anybody then please send me the details.

GD-PI at Somaiya today - 5pm batch. Pls reach good 45mins before hand. they tell u to fill the form in duplicate (as in same form, twice.. and that a while).. Process began at 5:10.. we were taken into the GD room.. a group of 8 (there was 1 absentee).. we were given 2 topics:
1) Industrialization brings about both - economic growth and slums..
2) ...I don't recall, sorry!!!!

We chose the Industrialization topic by common consensus. given 2 mins jotting down points on a piece of paper that they provide. then 16mins discussion.. thr were many dormant members in the group.. essentially only 4 spoke. 3 panelists.. then the bell rang after 16mins.. 1 person (by own initiative) has to summarise for at most 2mins, after which another bell rings and the gd ends. I introduced as well as summarised the GD.. also entered the GD sufficient no of times.. Hope i get good marks for that!!!

then we were taken back to the waiting room (seminar hall)..5mins thr.. then taken to another large room.. ek-ek karke the PIs began.. my PI lasted for abt 8-10 mins..
I am an OMS student frm Bangalore. so my Qns were directed towards that.. 2 interviews..

P1: y not karnataka univ MBA and y Mumbai Univ?
me: blah blah
P1: grilling me on the same..
me: blah blah (Convincing them)
P2: So doing ur CA, y not completing..

P1: Which instis hv u got admission into? applied for PG frm somaiya??
me: blah blah
P1: Family background (they spk on that for abt 1-2 mins)
P2: Future plans??
me: blah blah
P2: I think that'll be it..
me: Thank You sir, good evening

And the process ended at 6:05pm.. really very very well managed.. Totally impressed with the CET process and with Somaiya..

Hey ash....

Dont be confused....
even i faced the same questions whn i was in PUMBA to help ppl who are coming for their GD/PI. most of them asked the same question.

And as per my understanding of the process, this time it is an advantage given to ppl from Maharashtra, that they can apply through both the ways...
which actually increases their chances of getting in...

So this is something to be felt happy abt...

Leave confusion, if you apply through all india seats you dont loose your home university status.
