SYDENHM mms 141 (home seat)

SYDENHM PG 154 (other seat)

CET 2007 cutoffs for NT-3 :


JBIMS : 150 H 143 H 156 O (3 seats = 2 home and 1 other)

Sydenham MMS : ( 0 seats)

Sydenham PG : 148 O ( 1 seat = 0 home + 1 other)

Welingkar : 140 H 148 H ( 2 seats = 2 home + 0 other)





Now my Question is Why the number of seats are differing every year although quota specified for NT 3 candidates is 2 % thruout...

is there any logic via which distribution of seats takes place????

In some thred I had this answer for NT2 category,Check if it helps ur query:


Machhindra ur query is very interesting and tricky, not many out here would be able to solve it.

now nt2 category has 3.5% reservation.

for jbims: home university mumbai it will have
0.7*0.035*120 = 2.94 which results in 3 seats

for jbims other university it will have
0.15*0.035*120 = 0.63 seats which should result ideally in 1 seat

but there were 3 seats for home university and no seats for other university last year in nt2 category
However in the previous years 2005 and 2006 there has been 1 seat alloted in the other university while the home university has remained at 3 seats.

So considering the supreme court verdict wherein the total category reservations cannot exceed 50% we feel tht since 0.63 is a fraction and not really close to an integar for roundin it off it is not possible to have a seat every year for other university

So as per the fraction there would be a seat 2/3 times .Since last yr it wasnt there and prev 2 yrs it was there there will be 1 seat in all likelihood this year.

So check CET 2006 cutoffs from Home Page of Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra State so that u have an idea.

seems ok but u knw wat yaar....

i had given CET last year also..but thing is tht i lost my chance in top 3 last year by few marks....

this time i have 133/200 and looking forward to crack GDPI...but if there will be no seat in JB or syden naa then i will feel very bad...

so i m little tensed... i hope this time i will get good collge...

As per calculations:

.02*.7*120 = 1.68

That means JB/Sydenham must have atleast 1 seat for NT1 H category.

You dont need to worry.

hi can anybody plz temme will there be any seat for NT-2 Other university in sydenham MMS course since there was no seat from the last three yrs means in 2005,06,07 . so i think the decimal reservation make upto 1 this yr.??????? what abt welingkar seems they have a bit different criteria for NT-2 o since there was always a seat from the last three years for NT-2 O.????????

There is no reservation for NT2 O category in SYDENHAM. But I think we come under OBC O category.

anyways...cud any1 plz tell me if i stand a chance of gettin into top 6? since last year cut-offs went low..
