1) Is domicile certificate necessary? ive born in mumbai
2) Nationality certificate>> will passport do?

1. Domicile is Must!! If u dont hv any...go to court and apply. They will give u receipt. And u can show them that receipt. Submit DC afterwards.

2. Passport will do. But bring birth certificate also.

Domicile is absolutely necessary. You can get it within 15 days. It is to prove that u r a resident of Maharashtra.

ok so in tht case a domicile on my name? or my father's name? and how to apply for it? just contact a lawyer?

also.. for vasti patrak all ive got is a book of ppl from my village.. RADHANPUR which has names and addresses of all the ppl who r from there originally and where they reside now etc etc.. its printed in gujarati and has my name.. is of 2005 i suppose.. sum 300 odd pages.. is tht what is required?

1. Somaiya office start at 9-9.30.

2. Submit the printout of ur result. No need to attest same. as u dont hv originals!

No need to appoint lawyer....if u have all docs ready.

Get domicile application form from court. Submit attested copies of ur dad's DC + ur birth ceri + ration card. They will give u a receipt on which it will be mention when ur domicile will be ready to take. For timebeing u can submit attested copies of domicile receipt at KJSom.

As far as vastipatak is concerned...i also got book from my village KHAMBHAT in which names and address of all ppl of my community is listed.
So u need to take that book and 5 attested photocopies of page on which name of all ur family members are there.

u can apply for DC of ur and ur father at same time. I did the same. U need to produce following docs:

1. Birth certi/School LC of father(1 of this)
2. Electricity bills of last 10 years/rent receipt of last 10 years(1 of this)
3. Income tax return proff of last 10 years
4. Voters card of ur dad

On submitting above docs they will give u receipt of ur fathers DC. So on Receipt of ur fathers DC u can apply with ur Birth cert+ration card for ur DC.
