sir do u hv any idea of its minority cut offs ....because when i saw on their site even 115 & 114 walas hv got into VESIMSR

also sir @ 102 + 3 PAR could u suggest some decent enuf colleges that i should look forward to ....thnx once again sir for ure valuable inputs to so many questions from my end...
Vivekanand cutoff last year was around 135. The minority closed much below this score. So you have a decent chance in the minority quota. Vivekanand would be the best bet that you can get.

Re: PaGaLGuY.com brings CET-expert Patrick D'souza - Ask all your Maharashtra CET dou - 26-03-2008, 12:47 AM

Hello Sir,

I am a Mumbai university student. I belong to the open category.

My score is 129
My percentile is 98.44

Do I stand a chance in JB,sydhenam, somaiya, wellingkar and pumba?

If I do then what would be the marks I should try to obtain in GD/PI to be able to reach these colleges.

Thanks a lot in advance sir.....

Gauri

Decent chance of getting into JB. Based on last year you would require 29/40 to get into JB. As the reservation citoffs are increasing every year because of increased competition, it could be higher this year. But if you can score 30+ you do have a decent chance.

Hi Patrick,

Ok i just agve CET 08 and have scored an exact 99%ile or a 133 on 200. I am a non maharashtra student (though i did my under graduation from mumbai university my schooling has been done from delhi).

Also, in the application process i was asked if I wanted to give another set of scores (though they did not ask me my percentile or my roll number or any info at all) i said XAT scores also valid (in which i have a 99.79%ile).

What are my chances at JBIMS? And how much do i need to get in the GD/PI to gte into JBIMS if its possible at all.

All the help would be great!

Thanks a ton!

Nikhil Awasty

Absentism should not be a problem. Your MAT score will be considered.

i also wanted to ask this.
I saw last year's cut offs.. in it most of the GOPENH(whch is General Open Home Univ, if iam not wrong) is more then GOPENO (which i General OPEN Other then home, if iam not wrong)
why is it so, ppl frm home univ are given preferences isnt it?
Can any one plz clarify this for me.
Thanks

Nadeem
