The only way you can do well in test is to completely relax. Dont take CET too seriously .. write the paper as it comes. You are not going to die if you do not do well in the test.
My suggestion is to write a test tomorrow (if you feel you need practice) and then forget about CET. Just enjoy the remaining time .. go and see a movie .. do whatever you like to do ... Even if you do not do well in CET yu have other exams like SIES, MET, etc .. which will follow. If not .. I am sure there will be other career options available.

Guess work is just that. There is no particular strategy. Just mark whatever you feel like. Mark same option or different option .. it does not make a difference. On an average the accuracy would be 20% of the options marked.

I normally mark all answer on question paper and then at end i copy them on answer sheet ... but that takes least 12 mins.

what should be strategy here, should we mark answer immediately or differ it till the end of paper?

I dont think marking in the start or in the end makes a huge difference as long as you dont forget to mark. At teh last moment do what you are comfortable. Wouls not recommend you to change what you have already practiced.

Actually cant analyse your scores as I do not know the toughness of CF paper. But it looks decent considering average difficulty of CET paper. Just do what yo have already planned, have a proper strtegy for the exam. That should help.

Re: PaGaLGuY.com brings CET-expert Patrick D'souza - Ask all your Maharashtra CET dou - 14-02-2008, 09:06 PM

For the actual CET exam dont keep any targets in terms of number of questions to be attempted. Keep only targets in terms of time.

If you keep a target and if the paper is tough, you will find yourself falling short of target which will dishearten you in the exam and will lower your performance in the exam.
If the paper is easy, you will reach your target easily which will again result in you being relaxed as you have achieved your target.

So just give the paper as it comes and dont get stressed with the toughness or easiness of the paper.

I remember in one of the CET exam, the paper was quite tough. Students who were attempting the paper found that they could not attempt enough. They looked around and found others solving at a fast pace. They panicked and that resulted in a much below par performance. After they came out of the hall they realised that the paper was tough and if they had kept their cool and just attempted the question that thy had known, they would have had much better performance.

There are other reasons too why students panic ...

Usually Math comes for around 15 to 20 marks. During my time Math had come for 25 marks. Seeing the extra MAth questions students panicked. I dont think 5 extra Qs of Math would have made a huge difference in the score.

Last year a lot of students panicked in the exam as there were no normal logic questions and they found the paper comaratively different as compared to normal cet paper. Students even came out of the exam saying that there was repetition of questions in the paper .. whereas it was only similar verbal ability questions with same option but different questions (beware of such questions).
Due to this last year the cutoff was on the lower side (as compared to year before that) despite the fact that paper was not very tough.

@ Sir, Thx a lot for ur quick reply, sir.

This is My Graph...

Test No / Correct / Wrong / Attempts

Test 1 - 105/40/145
Test 2 - 112/38/150
Test 3 - 117/40/157
Test 4 - 111/49/160
Test 5 - 124/39/163
Test 6 - 126/38/164
Test 7 - 142/32/174

Wot can said bout my progress from the aforesaid graph....basically d weak areas whr i lose time n number both r FILL-UPS(due to closeness of options), SYN-ANT n CRTICAL REASONING(especially).....n i found tat they actually r time consuming...whr i cud hav done d ques wch i had to leave....bt i cant leave thm too na....as atleast n attempt can b made?? as these r less time consuming(d ones i get wrong) thn d ones wch i actually time consuming(d ones i cud do ryte bt hav to leave due to less time....like RC....though m gud at RC bt is time consuming)...wot to do ..?

Last year if you had a Mumbai rank of somewhere around 44, you had a chance for JBIMS. As far as percentile is concerned you require a percentile of 99.8%ile + to get into JBIMS (with a decent GDPI score).
