hi nadeem hows life going u said correctly that these all gd pi n all entrance its just prepare us to entered in to b school not to survive in b school because after b school entry means mostly top 10 bschool i am talking about rest of all nowadays like school only just teaching all but after entering in good b school then our struggle starts n that make us more sharp n perfrect what u think about that ?? entering b schoo, is difficult because of lat of competition nowadays but after entering in bschool our competiton is among best only no one worst there so our real life starts there i know bschool life is lot enjoyable also why we always look one side of coin let see other side of that in enjoy the life at b school so enjoy the life till entered in too b school bye tc

Have applied for PGDM at SIES, studied under the SIES brand (Sion - W) so I know how good the college and its ppl are. Donno how my gd/pi/gi for the pg; more or less good i guess... anyway... I have a MAT percentile of 99.5 and a rather disastrous MH-CET score of 110. Do you see any chances of getting a seat through the Minority quota either ways?

Good to kno u r from brand SIES
No issues abt GD PI..perfectly ok..u've given ur best shot thts more important
Good MAT Score...I hope u have submitted it since if i'm not wrong this yr home univ guys can submit MAT Scores too (plz confirm the procedure on DTE site)
Thru MH CET I think its a bit tight honestly...
See my analysis (lolzz ofcourse with zero credibility hehe)
Highest is 158-159 in CET
So on an avg, add 29/40 for GD/PI/PAR/WE etc
so u get 188...so around 187-190 shud be the best final score
JBIMS wud fill up in abt 10 marks (as usual)
so JBIMS ->179 - 190
Sydhenam-> 170-180
KJSOM --> 164-172 (now the range gets smaller cuz more number of people will fall in this range)
Welingkar --> 158-164
SIESCOMS --> 155-160

So as a general category home univ person...u need to have 150 to be on a safer side...this too being 155
PS : Last yr cutoff after first round was 153
after second round was 150

So to reach to 155 u need atleast 135+ to be safe...so that worst come worst GD PIs shud give u a 20-22 u shudnt be in a fix...

for minority last yr cutoff was 134 after second round...but again it was subjective to the number of applications,scores of applicants and other such subjective criteria...
But either case to be safe, I think theres always a difference of 10-15 marks minimum between the lists so...watch out...

hence friends moral of the story...plzzzzzzzz take ur GD PIs seriously...dont mess around even if ur a 99% iler ...cuz if u think u've just had a rat race in CET...boy watch out the real race is gunna be after GD PIs once rankings come...

hi dear hows life going on simsr n sies r well established institutes so dont worry about that but ranking of simer is high compare to sies but both r top ten colleges so dont worry about that.

guys u kno it feels good looking @ a score of 32+/40
but guys realize this...if u have ever taken a GD PI then u shud kno the unpredictability attached with a GD PI...
so be realistic while u r making ur assumptions...
saying this cuz I have taken CET for the past 2 years..
plz develop on ur content...
must reads:-
1. Business World
2. Mint/Eco Times
3. Watch We the people, Big Business Battle on NDTV etc

buddy first of all, comparing each insti is a bit unfair..
each institute has established a niche for itself...
Somaiya is a well established insti with gr8 alumni and corp respect
Welinbgkar has a good brand name..
SIESCOMS, the youngest of the bunch, 13 years old -- has to be credited for its rapid growth in the past few years.
We've got a state of the art infrastructure, amazing library and gr8 mentors in the institute...
Coming to placements, we've got a 100 % placement for 2006-08 batch with a good number of double offers too...
Companies from fields of FMCG, IT, Media, Financial Services, Banking etc fought for the best students...
The highest was 7.25 lakhs (excluding the perks) for finance as well as marketing

Average for the whole batch was 5.5 lakhs (excluding perks)
