Hi puys,

I just came to know abt pagalguy just a few days back... and its really wonderfull... got lots of information...but i didnt find any thread to discuss about TANCET (tamil nadu). I knew that there is no top b school comes under TANCET but still there are some few inst like PSGIM and Anna Univ which are reputed institution...

About me:

10th-81%
12th-85%

completed B.E. - civil in 2006, given CAT, XAT, JMET, SNAP 06 but all gone for a toss... and i dont want to work as a site engineer under sunshine that too in hot chennai. So, finally landed in a BPO industry now I am typing this from the " floor" with headset on my head!!:( . I dont want to continue this job in my future. Finally TANCET came, prepared thoroughly for 15days and gave... and my result was little below what i expected... its 44/100.

I hope that I will be getting into THIYAGARAJAR SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT(TSM)-Madurai, PSGIM-CBE(doubt!!), SSN-CHENNAI.

I guess many of you might not have heard the college name... but still its considered as top colleges under TANCET.

Here comes my situation:

I wanna pursue my MBA in top B School, but due to my laziness and current situation, I forced to join the colleges which i ve mentioned.


I have the following option to decide what to do:

I decided to pursue my MFA-CFA( Charted Financial Analyst) from ICFAI in correspondence along with my regular MBA program that will add value in my resume when i come to the job market!!

OR

To continue my current BPO job and try CAT for one more time... That will be very difficult in my case... bcoz i will be wasting one more year...!! and my parent too are not interested in this!

OR

To prepare the CAT along with my MBA course in regular???

OR

Any other suggestion?


I would be very much happy, if any senior members from puys to help me out from this...

and I would like to request all the puys who took TANCET are invited to discuss abt the colleges under TANCET. And if anyone you find any problem in the CAT preparation, feel free to post your problem in this thread, so that our senior members may solve your problem...

hi kendan ,i have scored 60 in tancet mba this time.i am not sure if i will get into anna university.in 2005 a person who got 56 got 9th rank but this time ai ma not sure what would happen.anyway i heard counselling on 26 july.

Congrats for booking your seat to anna univ... by the by which one you prefer.. psg or annauniv?? i got my bc ranking as 43 and oc - 79. Is there any chance of getting into annauniv????

yes. u have a chance... last yr a person with oc rank of 84 ( bc community) got seat in anna... lets hope for the best... by the by, my ranking is

vignesh i am not sure about your chances in anna university,because seats are so less.but keep in mind one thing that people who select anna university once ,will in all probability will not come again for the general counselling and take the psg seat.

so if ,you dont get into anna you will definitely get into psg.no doubts man,as for me i have decided to get into anna,because of three things
1)psg is costly ,it comes around 1 lac per year including hostel and all
2)many of my friends in anna say that anna university is almost as good as psg,so one can logically infer that it will be terrific in 2 years time ,when i graduate.
3)brand name,wherever i go people will know anna university

Hi friends, I am new here....I got 40 marks in TANCET for MCA..I am OC, how can I get my rank?? I checked out with annauniv site..its keep on replying "regnow is not found"...What to do?? is there any chances for me to get seat in Madurai Thyagaraja? or in Hindustan / St.Joseph in chennai?? please reply

iamcool how are you,the mistake you are doing is that ,you should enter your application number for finding out the anna university rank list

thanks for the reply....M.C.A Admissions 2007 - Rank please check this page dude....they are asking for "Enter TANCET Number", also please say is there any chances for me to get seat in TCE,Madurai? or Hindustan,Chennai? or St.Joseph, Chennai?

iamcool yesterday i entered my application number and got my result.but today it is asking for the tancet registration number.if you give me your registration number i will check it for you,with regards to your chances of getting into hindustan,and stjosephs i dont think your chances are that good,mainly because you are a OC candidate and secondly going by cummulative ranking a score of 40 above will have a rank of around 600.anyway first get your rank
