For MBA(FT) or core, MET is the exam.For FA, MM & others it is the CET conducted by DAVV. The College fellas will tell both are good, but if u listen to outside people they say the Core one through MET is better. Now time to fill up forms for MET has come to an end, and for CET it's just started. Go CET for now. ATB!

Thanks i have already filled up the form of met n now confused weather to fill the form of cet or not

Different papers for different groups.

Seniors, plz tell what was the cut off marks for MBA (FA) in IMS last year at all india basis? how much out of 225 one should minimum get to get FA?

Well, On all India basis, the cut off was 155 or something like that. one should atleast score 150-160 to get into FA.

Well I wish to put a few points here about FT, FA and MM. I hope this will help those who are confused.

Full time: Plus & minuses
1. Batch of 120 students: More and tougher competition.
2. Dual specialization : one can go for any of the below given combinations:
a. Finance + Marketing
b. Marketing + HR
c. Finance + HR
But these are to be chosen in 3rd semester. So you get only 3rd and 4th semester to study these subjects. So less time and more to study.

FA, MM:
1. Each batch 60 students.
2. If you go for finance, makes you a finance person from top to bottom and same for marketing. You study your subject from semester 1 to 4th.

FT, FA, MM all appear for placements together. It is not so that only FT people will appear or FA people will appear. Subjects are more or less same. All the three courses have same subjects like Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Business Ethics, Business Statistics, Marketing Management, Organizational Behaviour, Human Resource Management, Financial Management etc.

FA and MM people study subjects related to their course from the first semester like I have studied Indian Financial System, cost accounting, Bank Management, Insurance Management, Financial Products and services etc.

And yes, if you will ask seniors, they will say that both are same because they really are same. Its just that one should be able to figure out his/ her own strength and opt what suits best.

can u tell me how much score is needed in mpmet 2 get admission........as per previous yr result......

there is a separate thread for mp met 2009 where u can get every info abt MP MET n cut off for written is 375+ acc to pt 410+ acc to ch overall
