I was also in the process of comparison betn sydenham and welingkars and had talks with ppl in both the institutes...
This is wht i found..
1. even thg sydenham was established way back it has not yet made its name amongst the top b schools whereas welingkars founded abt a few years back is doing gr8 and definately overtake sydenham.
2. the avg salary of 120 students of sydenham is just 8.10 whereas the avg in welingkars with 430 students is 6.5 ..
3. the infrastructure of welingkars is way better than sydenham
4. classes in sydenham r not regular therefore u will get to knw many ppl who r working while doing thr mba
5. it is said and even believed by few ppl in sydenham that at the rate which welingkars and somaya are growing they will definately overtake sydenham few yrs down the line...


If placements is the only thg an aspirant is looking for then he will get it in all the top 5 colleges even better at welingkars and k j somaya two yrs down the line...

@sdv, I am not sure about that provisional certi thing in mba admission, in engg admission they admit u provisionally for 3 months if u hav tat underprocess letter, bt no1 is thrown out if it take 5 or say 6 months. its better you contact dte also if u can. and TC i dont know actually, possibly u hav to take bonafide frm ur colleg stating that u r finl year student. all the best fr admission

i hav got my TC. it was given to me along with my last yr marksheet by the college. so i guess LC & TC is one and the same thing. at least heading of the certificate which i got is transfer certificate. try to contact dte(nos. r given on candidate log in page of dte)

well...pune univ have 16 obc seats outta 120(biotech seats at PUMBA not included)...considerin ur rank suppose 9 ppl went 4 top 3 at mumbai...still its gonna difficult 4 u buddy...keep ur fingers rossed and wait till 4th round...dnt lose hope coz miracles DO happen...all the best

from last years list it has been seen that there r no seats for home university students in Syd PG. So it will be better if u also think for other options.
