hi,

i have been reading posts about CET etc for a while now n know the whole OMS/STATE funda well. but one thing still baffles me. accepting scores of XAT/CAT/ATMA/MAT seems like such a biiig loophole. i mean each exam is so different. suppose i write XAT(which is the toughest) n i score bad, i can always write CAT n try n score more.. or even better.. MAT!! but then ATMA is even easier than MAT. wht i was wondering is y do OMS ppl give MAT soo much importance then. i mean yes it obviously should b given cos its easy n mum univ ppl accept it but shouldnt ATMA b the number one priority cos its soo goddamn easy! a person scoring 99.3 or 99.5 in MAT can so easily get 99.95 n above in ATMA! i'm right arent i?? so well.. leme stop beatin around the bush n ask my FINAL question.. do mumbai univ ppl actually put ATMA n MAT at the same level or do they evaluate ATMA scores according to MAT or CET scores?? cos otherwise ppl submitting their ATMA scores have an advantage cos it really is far easier than even a 'chindi' exam like MAT!!

How do you know that ATMA is easier than MAT? Did you take ATMA last year? If yes, we would be obliged if you throw some light on it .

no i did not write ATMA last year. i regret that. cos i have written MAT twice n score 98 n 99 but i have frnds who wrote ATMA n MAT both n they tell me ATMA is far easier. n as a matter of fact it is. its a known fact. so i will b giving it this year. will cash in on the loophole.

obliged u enough i hope!

well as far as the institute is concerned , its one of the best in the country , only thing is that we are not alowed to advertise on papers or magazines being a givernment institute , its already been 25 years since the institute was established and since then there has been no looking back , in 1996 when we really participated in the rankings the institute was rated the 6th best all across , by business today ,
but now we cant participate as there are govt bindings ,
we share some of the very renowned faculties with jbims and are considered one of the best in the country , the thing is outside maharastra the craze is less as there are only 9 saest for OMS candidates in MMS and 6 in PGDBM , so yu are competing for lesser number of seats and thats why the percentile requirements are sky zooming for OMS that is above 99.95(as per previous year) and well as i have told yu all let the placement details get released then yu all will see why sydenham has crossed new milestones ,
all the best to all ya guys ,
take care
